I can’t remember what I voted for, think only a handful of my picks have turned up so far.

Thanks for organising the voting, Dig Dug. There are some amazing games in that list and it has made me think about digging one or two titles out to take a fresh look at them :-) .

Odyssey is a superb game but, divorced from last year's hype, I think it should fit somewhere in the 5-10 region. No qualms about BoTW being #1 though.

Yeah Odyssey stands out as not really belonging in the top 5 or 10 really.

BotW the rightful winner, it's an absolute masterpiece. 18 months out and going through for the third time and for me it's still indisputably the greatest game ever made a staggering achievement.

Good show DD though I think drawing it out like this was a bit of a waste of time. I think there would be more discussion had you just done the full list at once, though maybe you did it like this for other reasons.

Definitely no qualms with the number 1 spot, superb game.

Odyssey is a better game than BOTW. They're both great and belong in the top 10 but where Odyssey pretty much nails everything it does and leaves you with a constant grin on your face, Zelda has a few too many issues IMO to deserve the top spot.

I'd say it's a good top 5 over all, but personally, I don't rate GTAV or RDR that much. I did prefer RDR to any GTA though. And GTA is for me not as good as the Saints Row games or Sleeping Dogs.

This sums up my feelings as well, The Last of Us was a superb game as are SMO and BOTW but I never really get the hype of the Rockstar games (I did enjoy GTA 5 but it’s the only Rockstar game I have ever felt the need to finish)

I can't remember how long ago the vote was now, but I wonder if RDR was helped by hype ramping up for the sequel. I enjoyed both it and GTA V and they are definitely good games but I wouldn't have them anywhere near my top ten of the best games since 2008. GTA V I expected to see in the top five, but I was a little surprised RDR made an appearance.

I was surprised there was no From Software game in there too.

From has their votes split between different games. With something like GTA it's a lot more straight forward as you just vote for the newest one.

If we piled up the results by franchise the list would look much different.

Number 1 is very well deserved, and somewhat unsurprising. Number 2 is my second favourite game in all of ever, so I can't dispute that one either! That margin though - really? Not a mistype?

Cheers Dig Dug. :)

Breath of the Wild is the best game of the last two decades (maybe more than that), no arguing with that.

Haven't played GTA V so can't comment, but the rest are worthy to be in the top 5. BotW No.1? I can't really argue with that, even though I never saw it to its completion after my Wii U died and thus killed the save file after some 50+ hours. Wasn't best happy about that as you might imagine.
