San Francisco Chronicle - 100%
The performances are chilling and brilliant at every level. Moss has never done better work, but what’s especially impressive here is that she manages to do the seemingly impossible: create Offred and her previous identity as June as different women at first.

The Oregonian - 100%
Painfully timely. It's also absolutely enraging, and completely riveting. ... The Handmaid's Tale isn't just the best original show Hulu has ever done. It's one of the most impressive series of the year.

The Hollywood Reporter - 100%
Hulu's all-too-timely adaptation of Margaret Atwood's novel is one of the spring's best new shows and makes Elisabeth Moss an immediate Emmy contender.

Returns 25th April in the US. Seems like a lot of GRcade slept on the critics best show of last year.

I saw the shows name and instantly assumed it was just another gooseberry fool period drama that gets rave reviews simply because it has a ''strong female lead'.

Didn't watch the show but read the book last year - was the whole story not covered in one go? Is this a new story for S2?

Yes, which makes it more interesting. I loved the bleak setting and characters of the first and think this will be just as good.

I'm totally up for this then! I felt the book built a really rich world, which I'm sure the series nails judging by the reviews. Will need to catch up with this.

Binged this over the last week, to catch up to C4. Really enjoying this but slightly concerned that now the book's been covered (per my understanding not read the book), it could resort into filler territory as the network just wants to keep it going rather than tell a compelling story.

I wish there was more on how society got to this place. There are a few flashbacks, but how about a few episodes that concentrate on the background to bring the viewers up to date? Not enjoying series 2 as much as 1.

Yes?

This series has cranked up the dark imagery. The scene with her sitting in a bath of her own blood D:

And not sure where they're going with the radioactive farm plot.
