I just got my results for T215, I passed with an overall mark of Grade 2. 80% overall in the TMAs and 72% on the exam (which wasn’t really an exam but an end of module assessment). I am pleased with that!

I have now passed level 2 of the OU and so will be moving onto level 3, the end is in sight!

Congrats man, also on that last part.

I'm doing 2 level 3 courses now and I have two more to go and a level 1 one to finish off the credits I need. Only 2 exams left though!

Cheers! Just remembered that I can claim a Diploma now, I like getting new qualification certificates.

I wish I had left a level 1 and had done the level 3's earlier on. Must be nice to finish with an "easier" course! Unfortuantly for me, all the level 3 courses I like the look of seem to have exams. :dread:

Oh I didn't leave a level 1, it's just after I finish the mandatory 30 level 3 course and the one to total my level 3 up to 90 credits I need to get it an extra 30 credits to finish everything off so I'm going for a level 1 in a subject I hopefully can say I already know a lot about so I won't have much work to do. :slol:

I got 82 in my Exam for my Cisco module with the OU which puts that module at a grade 2 pass, I was only 3 marks off a distinction for it although I can't work out what their scoring system is anyway.

Still happy with that.

This is about as confirmed as it's going to be - but I don't think I'll quite believe it until I see my bank balance! - I'm getting a full scholarship for my M.Sc. Around £12k for the year. That's fees and rent covered - I only have to pay for food. :D

EDIT: As some of you know, I was a little concerned as to whether I would fulfil the residency criteria ("living in Wales for the duration of the course") - I was a little worried they might turn around and go "hang on, your family address is in England, what's up with that?" - but it turns out that all it means is what it says - living in Wales while I'm doing the course. It's an odd clause to have but I think it ultimately just means I might not be able to bugger off home for Christmas or Easter, which is fair enough, as part of the scholarship involves an extended industrial placement somewhere in Wales.

So this isn't really higher education related but I just booked the most important exam of my life for September 13th. My Cisco CCNA certification exam. My Dad knows someone who works in a bank who can get me in as a Junior Network Engineer (not sure if that's the official title) pretty much as soon as I can get my CCNA. So the quicker I can get it, a) the more money I save since they're expensive and b) the quicker I can throw myself into the rat race like everyone else and make some real money. :dread:

My University want to apply my dissertation to win the National Exercise Sciences Undergraduate Dissertation of the Year award  I'd have to give an oral presentation at a professional conference...

Slightly intimidating, that... but I'm pleased

It might be getting close to 4am, but I have finished writing my dissertation and so just had to share.

Some formatting, then the binding, and an alumni presentation are all that stands between me and freedom!

Sounds like bare effort. Postgrad, who'd do it?

Speaking of which, could you update my MSc on the front page to "Pass with Merit," please Karl? Seems insignificant but Goddammit I earned that merit by sitting on my ass and doing nothing for 11 months of my year long postgrad, and I want everyone to know it. :slol:

MSc in Computer Science. My thesis was on creating a model for AI characters to have cognitive ability., so I've brought the day when Skynet destroys us all that little bit closer. :slol:

Fecking hell that sounds complicated dude, well played on getting it finished. My postgrad thesis was child's play in comparison - it looked at American objectives in post-war Europe and early attempts at integration, and was as boring as it sounds.

I loved it, mind. The one I'm working on at the moment is interesting; analysing President Johnson's domestic and foreign policies(i.e. Medicaid and Vietnam) and concluding whether the polarising nature of the two undermined his Presidency and ultimately led to him not standing for a second term. It's as dry as the last one, but netted me some time in the States to conduct some research. And again, I find it all terribly interesting.

But I'm being self indulgent. Good luck with the final mark mate, is it just project based or is there an exam as well?
