First exam of the week done. I answered all the questions but I know I got at least a couple completely wrong. Hopefully I've done enough though.

I have another one on Friday afternoon and then hopefully I will never do another exam on my life. :toot:

Oh yes you will. In your dreams. I had another exam dream this morning. This time it was English. I haven't done an English exam for 10 years, or arguably my media studies A level.

Apparently I did the wrong question, because the teacher was there talking about it out loud; the questions everyone had prepared for and I had missed all the classes for were on tenancy law.

Luckily I am not the sort of person that holds onto stressful things and I have already forgotten most of this mornings exam. Sweet sweet sexy dreams for me tonight. :datass:

Good luck with your final exam Moggy. My last-ever exam is coming up too and I have to admit I'm just hoping to scrape through, I have no enthusiasm left for exams whatsoever. :slol:

Having now more-or-less completed the taught component of my MSc, I'm starting to think about research and a thesis. I have my first meeting (Over Skype! What a time to be alive!) with my research supervisor on Tuesday. I really want to make a positive first impression as I think I have a good shot at a PhD with his group if I can convince them I'm bright! I wish I had more time to pore over their work - luckily it's in the late afternoon, so I can spend all day getting myself up to speed with some of their papers.

Don't worry Karl, you're very smart, especially for a 14 year old, so I'm sure you can handle it.

I thought when I finished my last uni exam, I was done with exams forever. And now here I am, studying for an exam as part of a professional qualification.

I half did my professional qualifications before getting bored and pissed off with the exams. So I then thought I would join the OU and get a degree and stupidly signed up for a couple of modules with exams. :fp: If I pass these two then I will only need one more module to get my degree and will be making sure that it is assignment based rather than exam based!

And work can go strawberry float themselves if they want me to take any other exams. :toot:

Glad to hear you think you've done well Wiggy! I hope you get the results that you want.

I have my (hopefully) last ever exam tomorrow. I'm bricking it but am excited to think that this could be the last one and it's only TMA and EMA to worry about from 5.30pm tomorrow onwards!

From what i gather a lot of people read the whole exam through first which added a lot of time. This exam was different to the others ive done as the first part you answered directly under the questions so the spaces were very small it was clear you didnt have to write a lot especially for 1 or 2 marks but i think so people over think it

On holiday at the moment but managed to log on to my university website and get some results. Really disappointed with my exam result, thought I'd done well but must have messed something up as is really not a good mark. Overall I think I've scraped a 2:1 for the module but I'm really hoping for a first.

Has anyone ever asked for feedback about a mark before? Like I say I'm pretty surprised and I'm just wondering if there us the possibility they lost one of my answer sheets as I did use three.

Hi Hime, sorry to hear about that exam. In my experience it depends on the institution - asking for exam feedback was a nightmare at Oxford, so no-one did it. At my current Uni, you just have to email the lecturer for the course, and they're always happy to spend 10 minutes talking through what you got right/wrong.

You probably won't know until you ask, so just email the professor for the course and enquire. :)

Starting to get grades back for the last bunch of work on my Media Production degree. 69 and 80 so far, with dissertation still to come that will ultimately decide if I get a 2:1 or first. Really struggled with my diss but fingers crossed.

I will not get the exam results for my last two modules until mid July. My marks all the way through were really good, but I don't think I did very well in the exams and would be happy just to get a pass at the moment.

Getting a borderline pass on these modules would put me out of range of getting a First overall, but I should still be ok to pick up a 2.1 or 2.2, depending on the results of the next (and final!) module.

@Moggy: Fingers crossed for a 2.i.! ... But there's nowt wrong with a 2.ii. either, it hasn't done me any harm. ;)

I didn't have to sit any exams and I've had all my coursework marks back now - if I've worked out the weightings correctly then I've landed with a healthy final mark of 67. Would have been nice to get a first overall but I don't think it'll make too much difference in the grand scheme of things. Should get some confirmation in a couple of weeks' time, anyway - hopefully I won't have completely misinterpreted how the grading system works

I'd be ecstatic with a 2.2! I'm a 35 year old doing a degree part time, too old to learn and too busy to devote too much time. A 2.2 would be a massive achievement for me.

Ah, that's great, I'm glad you have a sensible attitude - lots of people get unduly stressed about grades and so forth (including myself in the past).

Im the same although younger but for me the grade wasnt the big thing just setting out to do it was the thing for me. Im hoping for a 2.2 myself. July 127th seems a long way off!
