Enjoying Run The Jewels more than Yeezus so far. Haven't tried the new Jay-Z record but everything I've heard makes it seem like I wont like it.

Wasn't a fan of the new Jay-Z album at all, but then again I've always thought he was massively overrated and can never see what the fuss is about outside of a handful of songs.

Never realised Run the Jewels was a free download, I'll give it a listen.

I'm not a fan of Kendrik Lamar slow, plodding R&B stuff, but I like his voice. Of the songs I've heard from him (which is relatively little), I much prefer his "proper rap" stuff and things like his verses on Eminem's Love Game:

What songs/albums are similar to his style there? I strawberry floating love that.

Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City is probably the most lauded hip-hop album since My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Not posted anything in here for a while. Chance the Rapper's Acid Rap is appearing on quite a few EOY lists despite not being an 'official' release. You can still get it online for free here. It's alright but IMHO I don't think it would have been as well released if it wasn't free.

Liquid Swords is an absolute classic, dat album cover. :datass: Probably the best solo Wu Tang effort, I can remembering not really liking Cuban Links but that was ages ago I'll need to listen again.

Method Man and Redman are touring soon, youd maybe be interested. That Liquid Swords cover is awesome, I dled it about 10 years ago and never listened to it :fp:

Any decent recent hip hop albums?only new album Ive listened to is Pharrell GIRL and its actually decent, dat production.

Favourite albums:

Dr Dre - The Chronic

Marshall Mathers LP.

All uncontroversial really, can't think of other favourites right now strawberry floating knackered.
