Method Man and Redman are touring soon, youd maybe be interested. That Liquid Swords cover is awesome, I dled it about 10 years ago and never listened to it :fp:

Any decent recent hip hop albums?only new album Ive listened to is Pharrell GIRL and its actually decent, dat production.

I may be indeed! Dunno how recent we're talking but I can't stress enough how great I think Kendrick Lamar is, Good Kid Maad City is the best hip hop album I've heard since The Documentary probably. He seems to me to be the only one actually saying something and making a point, the production and sound mixing is top notch also, not surprising given Dre was the executive producer.

I was thinking last couple months recent but totally agree about Kendrick. Almost included GKMC and Documentary in my top 5. There's a new Alicia Keys song featuring Kendrick called Its On Again, his verse is unreal. Sounds even angrier than 'Control'

If anyone is in London, you may be interested to know Nas is performing Illmatic for it's 20th anniversary at Lovebox Festival. Victoria Park I believe.

Quite tempted, although nobody else on the lineup really appeals.

Ah fair enough, my bad, can't say I really keep up with new releases. Not listened to that new track yet will have to check it out.

Oh, YouTube embedded support seems to have changed, so reading back through this thread now looks bizarre.

EDIT: I'm wrong. [yt] hasn't been dropped, as far as I can tell, because [youtube] isn't working right now either.

DOUBLE EDIT: I don't know what is going on :slol:

welcome to our house - slaughterhouse
man on the moon - kid cudi
camp - childish gambino
raw - hopsin

I loved this when it came out, but having listened to Royalty and because the internet since, I don't hold it in the same light. I can't listen to You See Me or Kids anymore, for example (Firefly is still a classic, though).

Yeah, I get what you mean. I much prefer Gambino's punchier stuff, to be honest, I think the main reason Camp came to mind when listing those five was Bonfire. I could probably replace Camp with a dozen or so other albums. D.R.U.G.S could take its place easily.

Madlib's doing a set at Lovebox this year, as is ASAP Rocky, Joey Bada$$...and Nas performing illmatic live for the 20th anniversary. :datass: Very seriously considering getting the 2 day pass and travelling down to London, in fact I think I'll try and book tickets asap.

Lovely. Thanks for the suggestion.

I discovered an amazing album from 2005: Formulatin' Fathers - Sleepless Knights. Incredible stuff.

Genuinely hard to pick a highlight as the whole album is fantastic:

Second attempt to revive this thread and then I'll leave it to die :P

Best verse nominations? With links please!

I nominate Bun B, first verse, from 'Touched' on their Ridin' Dirty album:

For some reason the 'time' addition doesn't work with the embed video. :?

Again, difficult question to answer, ask another time and there could be fifty different answers.

I nominate Tech's verse from Sickology 101.
