Well, I've listened to it twice and it sounds 100x better on headphones. I've never seen such a disparity between listening to something on 'phones and listening through speakers, but there it is. It's (mostly) good! Very spiritual, which I don't know if I like.

Biggest "Kanye" of the whole thing (which I'm coining as meaning something that would have been otherwise perfect ruined by Kanye West being Kanye West) is the end of FML, where the hungover alien pops in and I want to burn everything to the ground.

So, yeah, right now I think it's pretty good, with a few questionable decisions here and there. Which is, if I'm being honest, exactly what I thought of Yeezus when it came out. But then that grew and grew on me and now I think it's strawberry floating incredible, so I hope this does the same.

I haven't heard any of it yet but the album cover is absolutely awful.

Absolutely loving it. The first half of the album is just incredible. Only two songs Facts and Freestyle 4 I'm not keen on. Absolutely love 'Famous', 'Ultra Light Beams' and 'Father Stretch My Hands'. I think the opener is one of the best album openers I've ever heard.

That part ruins the entire song so much that I opened it up in Audacity and edited it out.

Ultralight Beam, Famous and Waves are probably my favourite songs. Love the Bam Bam sample in Famous especially.

Listening to it just now and I already like it better than To Pimp a Butterfly.

Nice suprise, really like the cover. On spotify too, looking forward to drive home from work.

New Kanye album so good, Fact, Famous, FML (I really like the beat change at the end...) and Father Pt2 stand outs for me.

Father Pt1 and 2 are phenomenal and that 'bum bum beedle bum bum' in Famous is guaranteed to make me dance. I can't listen to it in the gym anymore cause I end up dancing without even realising.

Love it.

That 'hook' is just so good I love it.

Haven't liked Tyler for a while now because I hate his producing but I've always liked his verses and this is really good. ASAP Rocky is a handsome mummy strawberry floater.

Having given it significantly more listens, I'm not sure TLOP is all that good.

Kanye West isn't a great lyricist to start with, but a lot of this just comes off like he's run out of juice. Between his tendency to rhyme words with themselves or simply repeating cringeworthy lines over and over in Wolves, there just doesn't seem to be much effort in writing this record at all. I Love Kanye ends with all the rhythm of a 4 year old, and 30 Hours is literally unfinished. It's all a bit of a mess.

Ultralight Beam is the only track that feels complete, in terms of writing, production and length. Chance the Rapper's verse in particular, is excellent, and puts everything else on the record to shame. It's an awesome track, and the whole album should have been to the same standard, but it isn't.

Anyone been following the breakup of FunkVolume? It'd be a shame if it hadn't led to this.

I thought I liked it in spite of all this, but maybe I agree with you and that's why I've hardly listened to it after the first week it was out. It's true Chance murdered him on his own gooseberry fool and I do get frustrated by the abrupt ending to I Love Kanye. I'll listen again.

I know there are quite a few Run the Jewels fans here so here is their collab with DJ Shadow for his upcoming album. I'm not the biggest fan of DJ Shadow, to the point I can't think of anything outside of Endtroducing, but I like this.
