Samsung demos amazing folding phone

A video has appeared online of what’s claimed to be an OLED display able to fold itself in half to become a mobile phone.

Initially, the phone - which it’s thought was recently seen on a Samsung stand at a display tech trade show in Japan - looks more like a portable media player because of its large - 5in or so – display.

But suddenly the phone automatically folds itself in half, revealing a secondary – yet much smaller – screen on the opposite side. After a few seconds the device then opens itself up again.

Neat.

Could this be the first origarmi mobile phone?

I know the industry is crying out for such a device.

Folding screens have been in development for years. I can't wait to see them implemented in handheld gaming devices and laptops.

OLED screens are so cool, it could make for some amazing mobile devices and awesome tele's.

I'm personally waiting for TVs with super duper high resolutions, that are as thin as paper and as large as your wall.

They're coming, not for a while yet but it'll be worth the wait. Better still the industry experts/boffins have said that once production starts in earnest then they'll eventually be cheaper then plasmas. 8-)

What program was this Anung?

No worries, I've have a browse around the tube of you for it when I get home.

What about Nokia's folding phone? I cannot recall the name but its a strip that looks like armband, with videos and pictures..etc.. it can be be bent all over.
