2 pages in and Nico has a terrible idea already. The little joke about Light Novel titles has made me love this series that little bit more.

Cute chapter although it did feature a pet hate of mine, namely getting Tortoise and Turtle mixed up.. Loved the fish puns bit, which the translator kindly expanded for non Japanese speakers.

Really want to see Nico recovering more of the butterflies soon though, don't really want 50+ chapters of this arc, as cute as it might be (it does introduce Ban though  )

Akane-banashi 100

These first 100 chapters sure have flown by and a great way to celebrate with those gorgeous colour pages.

Now that Akane has ascended into the Rakugoverse she's on a whole 'nother level! God damn some of those faces are perfect for a forum avatar.

Image :slol:

This is consistently the best thing in Jump!

I did assume that she would age up a little faster now that she's caught multiple spell butterflies, maybe something like a year every 5-10 chapters at worst but it does seem a tad slow. I'm not going to complain though as I enjoy the cute fluff and as you said, Ban is awesome.

Uzaki Chan wants to hang out ch64

This was one of the funniest parts of the anime but it somehow feels funnier in the manga

The awkwardness of Hana's sister winding her up by hitting on Shinichi (who was totally weirded out by a 14 year old talking to him like that) was brilliant, but the realisation that he'd already met her dad at the gym several times(and vice-versa) was superb

Chainsaw Man 157

Asa has grown strong in the time the focus shifted back to Denji but man do I love how our clumsy girl can't even tiptoe past some guards without face-planting. :slol:

She wasn't wrong, she always trips and falls at the worst moment and I love her for it.

Awoke to the news that legendary manga author Akira Toriyama has passed away at age 68. We still feel the influence that Dragonball had on the industry with many younger artists and authors attempting to emulate what made the series so successful. The flow to Toriyama's panelling is still the gold standard and I'm going to miss reading his stories and admiring his character designs in manga and videogames.

RIP to the absolute Titan. :(

Absolutely devastated by the loss of Toriyama. I've loved Dragon Ball since I was in single digits, and I struggle to think of a single creator who could even come close to the impact that he's had on my life.

Watching DBZ on Toonami was the reason I got into anime, which was in turn the reason I met my partner of 16 years, and countless other friends from my childhood through to my 30s. It is the bond between myself and my nephew.

I owe Akira Toriyama more than I could ever put into words.

I've never watched DBZ, but as others have said it has been so influential (and not just in contemporary manga/anime either) that its probably had some impact on people not familiar with it or Akira Toriyama without them even realising it.

RIP Toriyama san.

I love Toriyama's works. Dragonball Z was a big highlight, me and my brother used to watch it and my aunt would always get angry when it came on for "being too violent" One of my all time favourite games is Dragon Quest 9, and Chrono Trigger has been on my to play list for a long time now.

I hope he knew how much he was loved, how much inspiration he gave to the world and how much his work gave joy to others. R.I.P.

Ruri Dragon 8

Man I love Ruri's mother, finding the perfect excuse to take her out for a day of bonding and then just demolishes her at various sports complete with good-natured taunting! :slol:

So damn good having this back.

Akane-banashi 101

This performance arc has been great, lovely little flashbacks from her father watching her practice as a child and now absolutely nailing it. Girl needs to not get too lost in her own stories but she's a damn force to be reckoned with.

This needs an anime with top-tier voice actors!

Uzaki chan wants to hang out ch107

Major spoiler
They finally actually 'got it on' - unfortunately an unexpected visitor (Hana's dad) has arrived shortly afterwards and she's too knackered to get out of bed (Senpai is apparently hung like a horse), awkwardness incoming.

Note, there's no actual sex scene, it's not that kind of manga

Think its close to ending now though

Oshi no Ko 143

With the way the incest angle has come into focus these past few chapters it feels like Mengo has been nudging Akasaka to write it in as it's right up her alley. :dread:

Read a few chapters of Magical Girl Tsubame: I Will (Not) Save the World! and I quite like it, it's nothing like the title suggests, there's horror and sci-fi elements and the fights often get gory.

The cute but slightly creepy art kind of reminds me of the Panty & Stocking anime.

You're like my partner, who moons over Fire Emblem Three Houses' post-timeskip Dimitri. "Walking red flag? Yum!"

Anyway, mostly in here to share my love of The Apothecary Diaries. The best anime female protagonist gets sold to the Chinese emperor's concubine paddock and solves medical mysteries, while simultaneously going :slol: over poisons. Love it.

This is conceptually true but I'm still wincing at the association with any FE3H character other than my perfect, completely correct angel, Edelgard.

I think you would like (the main character) Maomao Site. Just a hunch. Give it until episode 2 when she's testing snakebites on herself while giggling.

I look forward to it!

By the way, as someone who roleplays a deer on the internet, you should give this trailer a watch.

I couldn't find an EN subbed version but I think you'll get the gist.
