I can't imagine rewatching Dragonball Z would be enjoyable with the pacing and filler issues it has. Kai was quite good although the Buu saga still has its share of issues.
I actually made my girlfriend sit through the uncut series a few years ago. Trooper that she is, she barely even complained at the bad pacing and season-long filler, god bless her soul.
But then, she's seen Bleach and Naruto in their entirety. This gooseberry fool doesn't even phase her at this point.
I feel for her, I endured that run of 90 filler episodes in the original Naruto but gave up and went manga-only during Shippuden thanks to the constant breaks for seasons of filler. Bleach fared somewhat better in terms of amount of filler, but what we did get somehow managed to be even worse. *shudders*
I'm thankful we've been getting 12-24 episode seasons with 6+ month breaks in recent times like with Boku no Hero Academia. I've always said that the series could add filler pretty seemlessly as Horikoshi has extensive notes on the hero society and school that could be used, but I'm glad that hasn't happened yet. Then you get the likes of Black Clover with a run of 51 episodes of dubious quality, but I suppose that was always doomed considering how shite the source material is.
