I'll probably only resort to it if I was on a long haul flight and the person in front of me was clearly taking the piss

I can be serious, but I find it lacks any real challenge. Like telling the truth, it's blandness disguised as a virtue.

Still, is this really even a thread for seriousness? People who're outraged at the very real risk of having their knees slightly chafed? And apparently unable to negotiate with another person sitting not a foot away from them? If the aggression were any more passive, it'd win a Nobel Peace prize.

I can't imagine that has ever helped any situation involving confrontation on the knee defender

Rights are not things you pay to have. If you're paying for a seat, you're not necessarily paying to ruin the day of the guy behind you.

I am paying for the ability to recline that seat. It is a dick move, but I shouldn't be stopped by the person behind me.

The person behind you is paying for the space your seat is reclining into, so you should be stopped by the person behind you.

You are paying for space though. That's why airlines charge you to have more space.

It's a bit annoying when someone reclines their chair but that's what they're there for.
As for cramping tall people? strawberry float 'em.

Interesting. I guess leg room on trains and planes is a small thing to give up forbeing more attractive, earning more, being able to reach things from high places and being physically stronger.

So some of you would just lean on back and not give a toss about the person behind you? How ridiculously edgy.

How is it edgy to use the recline feature of the seat you paid for? Get a grip.

If the space of a seat isnt adequate for you then you should probably upgrade to a better seat, rather than passive aggressively sabotage the seat in front.

So if the guy behind you tapped you on the shoulder and asked you to not recline your seat as you were making it uncomfortable for him, what would you say? "strawberry float you, pay for a better seat"?

No, Id move forwards a bit if I were still comfortable.

If he put some shitey clip on and passed me a note Id probably call a stewardess over, demonstrate the removal of the clip, and recline as much as I wanted.

If you're tall you should be playing basketball and have enough money to fly first class/private. End of discussion.

It's not the person in front of you fault that your too tall, go buy a first class ticket if you want more space. Why should they have to pander to your deformity?

Deformity  being tall's hot.

Also I'd be strawberry floating embarrassed to use one of those, just politely talk to the person in front.
