The last game I bought was GTA4, when it came out. Damn.

Age of Empires 3 - Single player is campaign is good but it's all a bit too familiar. The home city thing is quite a good idea but the customisation stuff seems extremely pointless. I'll try out the multiplayer after I've had some practice offline.

Spore - An exceptionally good game but flawed in many ways, the Space stage is impressively huge but the variety of missions on offer is disappointing.

Just pre ordered Left 4 Dead :shifty:

Im hoping this will be the game that finally pulls me away from COD4 multiplayer, time will tell though.

Demo was pretty awsome.

The last game I bought was Alone in the Dark, and it's alright. Flawed in many major ways, but with enough personality and flashes of real genius and imagination to carry it through.

Luckily, Pedro's been on a bit of a buying spree and I ge to play them while he's at work, so I've played a lot of Fable 2 and Dead Space, both of which are very very good.

Gears of War 2

Initial Thoughts: More of the same I see... sure looks nice though, and it's already brighter with some more colours. Promising, but I hope the underground bits aren't too boring.

Motorstorm Pacific Rift.

Looks crap, plays great.

Banjo and Mirror's Edge should turn up today!

Bioshock.

This is weird - I am using a wrench more than shooting - I thought it was an FPS.

*Penny drops*

Oh I see - this is rather good!

Professor Layton und das Geheimnisvolle Dorf

I expected it to be good, but I'm surprised by just how compelling I'm finding it. A few of the puzzles are a bit corny (it reminds of the Riddler episodes of the 60's Batman TV show at times), but I can't wait to get home and play it tonight.

Mrs Octoroc even helped me solve a puzzle- so the TV advert became reality!

Love it love it love it!

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Have you encountered the "camera and case" puzzle yet, for the past few days I've been tearing my hair out over it and still haven't solved the strawberry floater.

The Orange Box - Loading's bad, Aiming's terrible. Let's hope it's a slow start.

Gears of War 2 - Builds upon the original adding some new gameplay elements, but its basically more of the same with different environments and a littler bit more epic!

On the whole a stunning game graphically, gameplay and story wise, but a little short.

Mirror's Edge. Looks fantastic and the first few chapters are really exciting.

I've had about an hours break since just after 1 this afternoon.

Mirror's Edge is really, really, really good.

Its also a decent length for what it is, and in my opinion a better overall game than Portal (and a better single player game than Gears of War 2).

Mirrors Edge - Why am I finding it so hard to find the way?
