Rise of the Tomb Raider
It just felt really Janky. The cutscenes, voice acting and plot were just boring. Gave up after around an hour and a half.

Mad Max
Really wanted to love it, but the lack of polish just made me cringe.

I think I've given up on Final Fantasy XIII - Lightning Returns. I find it dull and tedious to play, and the plot is incomprehensible nonsense. I actually liked XIII, thought XIII-2 was okay, and was hoping the series would end on a high. I did want to see how it all ended, but I just can't muster the energy or interest.

DS3 is wonderful, everything about it is awesome, a nice mix of DS1 and bloodborne. But that boss. FML

That's what I ended up doing. It was the first time I've done that in the entire series.

The camera was kind of messing me up.

No shame in that. I did this for quite a few of the bosses.

I would say to watch my run for tips, but it's sketchy as strawberry float. The number of times I come close to death is ridiculous.

Hollow Knight. Reasons: no goals, no map (until you buy it and the pen and then buy a new map for each area and then explore the place, strawberry float off), bland aesthetic, much better things to be doing with my gaming time.

That is a shame. I am interested in this but a number of comments suggests this will be frustrating which isn't something I handle well.

Hollow Knight seems to be very much a marmite game for the forum at the moment!

Overall I would say that it is a fantastic game, but I can understand the frustrations that some have had with it.

It's not exactly a bank breaker so I'd say it's worth a punt if you like the metroidvania genre.

Far Cry 5 - has grown repetitive in a way I didn't experience with 3 or 4, and some of the missions are just absolutely dire - particularly the bunker missions after defeating the bosses. A real shame as there are good moments, but overall it's definitely my least favourite Far Cry since 2 and might have killed my interest in the franchise unless 6 offers something different and/or a particularly interesting setting.

Ruiner - PC

An incredible soundtrack and visual style, but after hitting a wall in the first main area (the car park) of getting mullered over and over I don't think I have the patience for this. I'm sure it's amazing later on, but I'm just not fast enough to manage everything happening at once.

For me it's been Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Payday 2.

I loved the idea of Xenoblade, the video playthrough looked great and the reviews were promising. Putting it into practice though?... No thank you. Got 15 hours in and was bored as hell. Friends kept telling me it get better after 20 hours. For me that's not great game design!

Payday 2 was (for me) a shambles. Downloaded it through game pass. Played it for two hours then uninstalled it. Complete waste of time.

Tomb Raider (reboot) bought this cheap on PS4. Loved the second game and thia started off well. But it's just zone after zone of soldiers and it's so boring. So decided not to bother carrying on with it.

It's actually put me off buying part 3 for Christmas and instead I'll get it next year when it's stupidly cheap.

Wish my image sig would work
