Sorry if this seems aggressive, as I keep repeating it, but he's done neither of those. In the thread linked to in the Raw Story statement he actually doubles down on his criticism of Sarkersian and his other views. His recent tweet does not apologise for anything, I mean anything at all, including his support of gamergate and the associated notyourshield hashtag. He's said a whole lot of nothing except "This game's main theme is not the evils of feminism as I once said it was." That barely amounts to an acknowledgement and even if it did, so what?

People are obvs free to separate author and art (although that's debatable here as he's explicitly linked his political views to the game's theme) but giving money to a sexist arsehole is something I will not be participating in, no matter how pretty his game looks.

He apologized on stage like 3 hours ago.

You could watch the archive of the PC Gamer show somewhere on Twitch or something and try to find it (about an hour in).

His words were that he's embarrassed about what he said, that's not who he was anymore, and that he is sorry. The host didn't appreciate him going off script, though, so it's brief and awkwardly just jumps into promo for his game with no dwelling on it.

Coolo. I'll check it out and let you guys know if it's morally acceptable to buy the game now.

Anyway, watched the guy's apology. He says sorry. A good start. He's needs to get that gooseberry fool down in writing in a proper statement though, a quick "soz" isn't enough here.

To be honest I think that's the last thing he needs to do. It doesn't matter what he said in writing it wouldn't be enough for some people.

He needs to stop posting on social media altogether and just focus on his work.

Its literally like you are talking a different language to me. Like I said it doesn't matter what he said in that clarification I don't think it would satisfy the people that aren't currently satisfied with his apology and if it wasn't very well written then it'd probably end up leaving him open to more criticism.

This argument is like a never ending black hole of horribleness, he's better off not saying anything more than the apology he's already given.
