I honestly don't understand why anyone bothers with any form of social media.

I mean it makes sense with limited friends groups, but why the hell would you want to share personal information with the entire world. It always did seem like a recipe for disaster to me.

I mean I knew Notch had questionable beliefs, his previous statements vaguely in support of Trump for example, but this just nasty, nasty stuff. On the last page I quoted his tweet saying that having been the victim of abuse was no excuse for "being a banana split" which in this case equates to condemning devs involved in gamergate. What a bunch of strawberry floating manbabies.

I just love that he's annoyed at her for changing her name name on Twitter a lot and not knowing who she actually was. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Notch was a Trump supporter.

Notch as in 'Minecraft' Notch? It looks like selling Mojang for $2.5bn has turned him into a proper numpty. What would the children think?

Great that he acknowledged his shitty past and apologized (even if it wasn't much of an apology), I just hope it's genuine and not dolla dolla driven. I guess time will tell.

Sorry if this seems aggressive, as I keep repeating it, but he's done neither of those. In the thread linked to in the Raw Story statement he actually doubles down on his criticism of Sarkersian and his other views. His recent tweet does not apologise for anything, I mean anything at all, including his support of gamergate and the associated notyourshield hashtag. He's said a whole lot of nothing except "This game's main theme is not the evils of feminism as I once said it was." That barely amounts to an acknowledgement and even if it did, so what?

People are obvs free to separate author and art (although that's debatable here as he's explicitly linked his political views to the game's theme) but giving money to a sexist arsehole is something I will not be participating in, no matter how pretty his game looks.
