Yes but you'll need the disc for whenever you want to play it (I think)

Correct.

Can confirm as I have the game on disc for PS4 and bought/downloaded the upgrade yesterday. (For anyone wondering because I couldn't find it anywhere online in advance, it's the second disc you need, not the first install/data disc.)

Not played it yet but looking forward to it!

Paid the 10 quid to upgrade. The three lost levels are short but a nice touch. The graphical upgrade is noticeable but not glaringly so. Only had a short go on the roguelike but its pretty cool.
Well worth a tenner but unless you haven't played the original I'd say full price is very steep.
If you haven't played the original. You're in for a treat.

This is absolutely worth the £10 upgrade fee.

Rouge Run is absolutely fun. Can see myself playing this regularly if I only have a few minutes to play.

Just picked this up from the framers. An original charcoal drawing I got at comicon last year.
Stunning.

No Return is an amazing mode. I've already platiniumed the main game, and I'm loving the runs and challenges. I think completing the DLC trophy list is beyond me as there's one tied to the grounded difficulty.

I'm loving No Return also. A friend was over yesterday and we spent the evening passing the pad and taking runs. I've now unlocked all of the characters and have beaten three runs so far!

It reminds me a lot of resi mercenaries with the scoring. It's essentially concentrated TLOU2 combat, which is great, but it's also got a different feel to it, or at least to how I would play the main game - cautious and methodic. This mode in comparison has a very pressured urgency to it with its time limits and time based scoring. I think it de-emphasises stealth a lot, forcing you to act quickly, and that took me a little bit of getting used to. Forcing that faster gameplay approach is probably a good thing for keeping the runs quick!

I wonder if these maps are adapated from the cancelled multiplayer. I could definitely see them being multiplayer maps.

Anyone watch the Grounded making of documentary for Part 2.

It’s really interesting to get some insight into how games are made these days given most of the time the process is treated so secretively. I must admit the hardcore sincerity and seriousness with which some of the main protagonists talk I find incredibly off putting, Troy Baker is absolutely the main culprit. He probably had final edit but Drukman actually comes across as pretty well grounded, even if a lot of the direction of Naughty Dog I don’t like I think originates from him. It would have been interesting to get more insight into the work that’s done by outside teams as I think loads of people from outside ND worked on the game and though they talk about the massive scale of it a lot, that side of things is never touched upon. Hearing about the hack and leaks and how covid affected things and them changing to try and reduce crunch was nice to hear, as was their reactions to things like misogyny accusations and talk of the game being overly violent.

Not amazing or anything but well worth a watch if you have a spare couple of hours. Druckman also confirms Part3 is going to happen at some point at the end.

Time for adventure

Just started watching it and agree about Troy Baker, I struggle to listen to him when he crops up on podcasts etc.

Seems crazy they originally planned for this to release in 2018, just two years after UC4.

It's here on Youtube if it's not been linked yet,
