I'd like to try this... but... I still haven't really played the first game yet, the reputed violence in this sequel kinda puts me off and it's gonna be £60 or more, ain't it?

And yet I still want to try it.

Given how good Part II's combat system is, this could be a really cool addition.

There's more, though. "Lost Levels" will also be included, allowing you to "explore early-development versions of three new levels not seen in the original". Loads of developer commentary is bundled in as well, and there's even a new "Guitar Free Play" mode where you can unlock additional instruments.

Oh strawberry float off

Maybe this would have been worth it as a PS6 title in 5 years but not now.
The PS4 version was absoluetely fine.

And good news for existing owners of The Last of Us Part II on PlayStation 4! You will be able to upgrade to a digital version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered for $10 USD at launch. You'll also be able to import your saves from the original game to Part II Remastered.

I’m on the fence..

A huge fan but I thought remastering the first was a piss take at full price - but it was a big game engine upgrade I believe.

Again I’d like this physical if I was to get it but full price over a £10 upgrade day isn’t worth it really, the game just released it feels like and the trailer doesn’t really show to me anyway a huge graphical overhaul (Part II on PS4 looks better than some PS5 games to begin with) so I struggle really aside from the extra mode & level potential as to why it’s worth it.

That said the main audience is possibly those who saw the TV show and came to the game that way with a PS5, but you’d imagine they’d have already got a copy of Part II if that was the case

I never got round to playing it on PS4, so I’ll probably pick it up at some point.

Though I hear it’s more violent than the original, which is what put me off it originally.

The Last of Us is a franchise with 2 original games and 3 remasters/remakes :slol:

My first thought was that this is the dumbest thing.

But then I learned it's $10 for a new roguelite mode and I'm all in.

I like the sound of the rogue like mode and also the 3 lost levels, sounds like a great package of extras for £10.
