AD7 posted a video where he cleared a camp, skipped to the morning on the fire and woke up surrounded, luckily I have Bt had quite that yet but I would be livid, I think it would make me not play for a week or two in anger. The restoring of all the ones id cleared stopped me playing for a about 3 days I thought it was a bollock.

Finished this last week, what an incredible game that was. Felt quite sad to see it end, but the only real downer for me was the final boss fight, getting there was so epic but the fight was so disappointing and a bit easy.

Overall my new favourite in the series and just behind Mario World as my second favourite game. I doubt I’ll play anything as good for many years.

Is the DLC worth bothering with?

Today was a good day.

+ 11 shrines (now up to 57)
+ 3 memories
+ 7k rupees
+ 4 heart containers
+ 1 stamina vessel
+ 6 quests completed

And I think I'm done with Akkala (uppermost right area of the map) so I can move onto somewhere else next time I play.

So the DLC Master Sword trial in korok forest.

Are there checkpoints or anything? It's pissing me right off.

'Oh, thanks for getting through 30 gates through all these hard challenges, but one strawberry floater with a huge club killed you in one, and now you have to do it all again.'

Piss off.

How long does it go on for? I've gotten to the

area with lizafos and lots of water. Got past that one and an area with a wooden sail boat and a moblin at the top of a tower. I got too close to the moblin and he one shotted me.

Stared towards to volcano today, got the bridge lowered and have run off to stick up on arrows and whatnot. Then will head back up via the handy shrine that's right next to it.

With the boss difficulty I think, Nintendo have leant towards it being pretty easy to navigate the main story of any of their games and then the true challenge comes from side stuff and completion, even just uncovering most of the map and exploring fully takes time and building up your stamina etc. I mean I know people who never get past the earliest areas in other games because you have to do this one thing at one point that you don't know and you just lose interest, I can't see that being a problem in this game.

The trial of the sword is the best challenge in the game, and then the extra dungeon DLC ends with the best boss fight in the game.

The other stuff is a nice bonus and gives a reason to go exploring some more.

I really need to crack on with my 2nd playthrough and see that content. Between Dark Souls & the Splatoon DLC I'm not sure how I'm going to fit it in. Maybe we need a "Karl plays BOTW again" logo. ;)

The extra shrines and dungeon thing are really good and the line thing on the map that shows you everywhere you've been is really handy for finding shrines and new areas.

I'm terrible for dropping out of a game because I get stuck on some task I suck at, I refuse to beat against something until I crack it so if I don't manage it in say 5 attempts I just drop the game and move on.

The game is still on my playlist! I haven't done a lot of gaming in the past week or so, though. I will soon continue to take in the Breath!

Errkal just be cool and allow yourself to check something like Zeldadungeon.net so you can move on and enjoy it instead of dropping it in a stream like an unwanted baby.

It usually isn't a matter what not knowing what to do but more a matter of not being able to do the thing or beat the thing i need to

Yeah, metroid prime 2 died for that. There have been some occasions though where I boot up a game I was "stuck" on and it turns out I wasn't actually stuck and had done that bit, then gone to bed and forgot for the next 10 years I had already done it, that or it was ridiculously easy :fp:

Cheers Maf and OR. I’ll pick it up once I’m done with Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
