I think the problem is more that other than the final boss they're all very similar and pretty forgettable. I've had more memorable fights out in the world.

Yes for the four dungeon bosses, but Master Kohga is a cool fight.

If you play the DLC the boss of the extra dungeon is definitely memorable

It's not just the bosses that were unimaginative, in my (humble unsubtle and often wrong) opinion - it's the enemies in general. Oh, the enemies they had were great, but there were many fewer types than I feel there should've been in a Zelda. I felt like there were too many Bokoblins and Moblins in the later stages of the game. Where were the Wallmasters, Skultulas, Dodongos, Gohmas?

(I should say that BotW is my favourite game of all time, but like every other game, it's not perfect!)

They went narrow and deep with the enemies rather than wide and shallow. The enemy AI/behaviour is much more advanced than previous Zelda games. You don't necessarily need the enemy variety to provide variety in combat, because the enemies have advanced behaviours.

That's not to say I didn't miss a lot of the Zelda enemies, but I understand the trade-off.

It's pretty sweet.

Only had a quick flick through it, but there's loads of text, which I like in books like this.

The only shame is that the Japanese version that it's translated from pre-dates Breath of the Wild by a few months so Triforce Heroes is the most up to date game in it. Though it does mention BOTW once or twice, especially in the interview at the back.

I wouldn't have said no to a bit more variety in the enemies in BOTW, but it is hard to be too disappointed with what the game offered up!

Although any annoying enemies in the various snow regions that just constantly spam you with ice arrows should be sent directly to the fiery pits of hell!

Isn't there a BoTW specific book releasing towards the end of the year? I have those three books (last one arrived the other day), third one seems really in depth from the quick glance I've had (which is certainly not a bad thing!).

Yes, it's called Creating a Champion. It's out November time if I recall.

If anyone is interested Amazon.co.uk have the soundtrack (limited edition version) for sale.

It's not cheap though and stock is limited.

That should just be Nintendo's motto in general.

After taking a week off I'm back into this now and only have the left side of the map left to do. I decided to start in the top left which is the Hebra Mountains area, managed to locate a few more shrines, also managed to get a scale to clear the only remaining shrine quest I had outstanding up to this point.

I also created a fire for the first time and started experimenting with all the food and objects I've collected, creating elixirs and stuff. It's fun! Somehow I managed to stumble into a full recovery recipe so I made a few of those... Which came in extraordinarily handy when I accidentally, out of nowhere, got ambushed by a strawberry floating Lynel. I didn't even know he was there until he ploughed through me. :dread:

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

Slight cooking spoiler you might want to know considering you're halfway through the map already

You should keep an eye on the walls inside buildings and stables, you might find some cooking inspiration

Yeah those recipe posters turn up in quite a few places if you keep your eyes peeled

To be fair you can work out the mechanics of the cooking system pretty easily and the item descriptions generally make it clear what benefits each thing brings when cooked.

The problem is that there is no way to store the recipes. They really could have done with a recipe select rather than picking each item individually.

I was thinking that the last time I had to cook a load of stuff. It's so tedious that I avoid doing it unless absolutely necessary.

They should have had a recipe book. When you make the meal once it gets added and then you can automatically select it whenever you have the ingredients available.

Yeah they should, maybe have the recipes secret until you do it so you have to experiment still, they could have had recipes in chests or crates as well that way.

Even being able to duplicate something you've already made would be better.
