Zora bows are metal iirc so check Zoras domain

You could kill some lynels if you're up to the challenge, their bows are great. You could also get an ancient bow if you have been to the relevant place.

Just getting back in to this.

Purposely making it tougher by myself by only having 4 hearts, so where do you got for a challenge? Sneaking around Hyrule castle of course. I got up outside the main door for you know who, and spent most of my time trying the break line of sight with the other stuff around, but I eventually made it to princess Zelda' s room. Felt like a proper achievement doing it with 4 hearts (the first time I had nearly 2 full double rows and loads of top level gear). Was cool taking a photo of myself in there.

It's also great forcing myself to take a different route to my first game. I intentionally ignored the game steering me to zoras domain and I've skirted around death mountain to just go north. So my order so far has been hyrule castle > that pitch black shrine quest > lost woods > korok trials.. Might tackle that island next.

I'll have a wander that way and see if there is one that is easily grabbed.

Tempted to leave fire bitch for now and get to the other beasts as I'm sure I'll pick up some metal gear on the way as well as getting higher level shiz making the beasts easier to handle.

You can get gooseberry fool loads of Lizal bows from Lizalfos on the route to and about Zora's domain and on mountains in general, or an encampment. They're all quite good bows. In fact next to a couple of lynel bows I reseve for, well, lynels, and royal bows, it's all I use.

You certainly don't need to Tackle a lynel to get a fireproof bow.

I always seem to have a load of Royal bows and Knights bows on me at any point in time, not sure where I keep picking them all up but they usually seem to have enhanced endurance as well so they tend to last longer.

By endgame I basically had a load of royal bows for standard use, a load of savage lynel bows for when I need to break out the big guns, and an ancient bow or two just for the rare sniping opportunity.

I really want to do a bow only playthrough now

I've been thinking of this myself, it would be a challenge for sure but I love the bows in this game so much.

I've been playing Assassins Creed Origins at the moment and the bow mechanics in it just feel so off compared to BOTW.

Did loads on this tonight. Finally investigated the Gerudo area, located, started and finished the Naboris quest, picked up a whole bunch of fun looking side quests and finished some of those too. Haven't been able to locate many shrines in the area considering how big it is, it can't all just be desert with nothing whatsoever going on. Loved infiltrating the Yiga Clan Hideout.

Also finished the Tarrey Town side quest. Just  .

One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

I quite like how they don't pack too much into the Gerudo area - it is a desert after all!

There are a few shrines dotted about though and I quite enjoyed tracking them down in the desert winds!

Have you done the side quest about the sand boots yet? That was a good Gerudo one I recall - Link being a prick tease to the guy who gives you the boots was hilarious .

Yes, it's called The Eighth Heroine, followed by The Forgotten Sword. I was very fortunate in that my very first approach to the Gerudo Highlands was from the Rito area and I came across the statue then.

Hurrumph my Zelda adventure is over until I upgrade to a switch, stupid 3rd party controller has decided to randomly (usually when I'm trying to deflect a guardian) go left walking me of platforms, and generally being a banana split.

So as the gamepad is a nightmare to play with sadly its all over until I can afford a switch probably early next year.

IIRC you only bought that controller fairly recently, Errkal? Could you return it as faulty?

... . I think Errkal bought it from Argos; so they could either replace it or refund the money.

It was a used one but barely used, its kind of what I expected to happen.

Oh well, roll on Christmas time when hopefully I'll have the spare moneys to join switch squad.

Errkal, you could get a brand new Afterglow controller for £19.99 at Argos. For twenty wraps, it may be worthwhile as you could carry on with BotW and return it if it went faulty (but reviews suggest that it's pretty reliable).

I know, dude... but - if poss - never buy a second-hand controller! The reviews suggest they're pretty reliable... from new.

Errkal, do you want to borrow my official pro controller? I'm not using at the moment so would have no problems posting it to you for a few months if you wanted to carry on playing. Help out a GRbro :toot:

I'd want it back though :capnscotty:
