Finally made a start on this yesterday after finishing off skyrim.

Jesus the opening 3 hours were so dull :| I don't care about the stupid bird, I really don't.

So i got to the first dungeon and just got the beetle thing form inside that hollow tree. I'm a bit meh so far but I know it'll get a whole lot better though.

Motion controls though :x :x :x ARGGGHHHHH. I nearly used three whole rows of hearts on that first Skulltula as by the time i'd realised you ahd to jab at it rather than swing, it just wouldn't register as a jab :x

*jab motion* UPWARD SLASH!
*jab motion* SIDE SLASH!

FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Why doesn't this use the sensor bar either? Why am I endlessly re-centering the cursor?!

Yeah it's stupid that it doesn't show you how to do it properly, go back to Skyloft and speak to the gossip stone next to the knight academy, he'll sort you out.

Finally figured it out but it took a lot of swearing!

Up to Eldin volcano now and it's got much better

Sorry but stupid for not showing you how to beat the boss? I dont understand. It is tricky for a first boss though.

There's strawberry float all indication that you're supposed to hold the sword in one position before slashing from another direction.

Its clearly beyond just being 'tricky' given how many people complain about it.

The fact he blocks your attacks with his hand that follows your sword around isnt an indication? Even though all the sword based enemies up to this point also move to cover the position of your sword? Not even a hint?

You dont attack the bit thats protected. You attack the area thats left exposed.

His hand follows your sword and then stops at one side, which gives you the chance the hit from the other. It literally couldn't be more clear what you have to do. I'm amazed so many people have trouble with it.

The fact you have to slash from the other direction is stupid because of the wiimote, you have to go AROUND and then slash, rather than across or you'll just slash in that direction.

It's not fun.

I guess, but then people also had a problem with the bobbing in TP

I knew what I had to do, I just didn't realise you had to hold the sword one way for a bit, then strike the other side. That blue woman thing said just hit him on his left side :|

You dont have to go around though (at least I dont remember it like that). You can just learn to control the speed you move your hand, which is the tricky bit.

I finally finished this!

Honestly the game does have a lot of flaws, but what it gets right it does so spectacularly. Overall I'm very positive on the game, even if I don't rate it as highly as Link's Awakening/Ocarina of Time. That ending was fantastic

Think I'll be finally playing through Majora's Mask this year, and also Master Quest on Ocarina of Time 3D. On a huge Zelda kick right now

Just killed the second boss, and this time I knew exactly what to do

Really enjoyed the whole volcano thing and can't wait to see what's next.

I'm still not sure which of the three areas I liked the most. Did enjoy the serene atmosphere of the forest and the volcano gets some cool use later on, but the desert was very well designed...

Despite being a huge Zelda fan I've not go around to playing this yet. Anybody know the cheapest place online for this bundled with the motion+?
