Sounds like they are not releasing DLC for this

--I see. Now I would like to ask you about the next production, which I am anxious to hear about....... Is it a sequel, a new setting, or something else?

Fujibayashi: I don't know if it will be the next production or not, but I am thinking about what the "next fun experience" will be. What form that will take, I can only say that at this point we don't know.

Aonuma: There are no plans to release additional content this time, but that's because I feel like I've done everything I can to create games in that world. In the first place, the reason why we chose this time as a sequel to the previous game is because we thought there would be value in experiencing a new kind of play in that place in Hyrule. Then, if such a reason is newly born, it may return to the same world again. Whether it's a sequel or a new work, I think it will be a completely new way to play, so I'd be happy if you could look forward to it.

--I think that the hurdle that was raised with "Breath of the Wild" has now been surpassed again with "Tears of the Kingdom," and players' expectations have been raised even higher that the company will make something even more amazing, but……

Aonuma: Fujibayashi and the rest of the development team do not consider this a hurdle, so please keep your expectations high!

There s definitely scope for filling the depths with something interesting, even if it's just some shrines.

Yeah, the depths were by far the weakest part of the game for me. Bit of a missed opportunity.

The depths started off great, but once you’d explored them for a few hours you’d seen most of what it had to offer except for the colosseums.

Yeah, this game is absolutely stuffed, it really doesn't need DLC.

I'm more than happy for them to move onto the next Zelda game especially when you consider how many years it's going to take.

Speaking of colosseums, I'm upgrading the fierce deity armour and went to the lynel one. Tough but I managed it!

They literally said BOTW and TOTK is the new template for future Zelda's.

Finished the final regional phenomena. I've two mainline quests I can progress, which should I be doing first?

Find Princess Zelda - Just had the cut-scene where Purah sees her at Hyrule Castle
Guidance from Ages Past - Have entered the area of The Depths where you start

I'd be really surprised if they have any idea whatsoever what the next Zelda is going to be.

The only thing I'd expect is that it will still be in the "open air" format.....but even that-I wouldn't rule anything out.

So you want an entirely new type of zelda game in a new format, that includes all the gameplay, locations and characters from the last 2 zelda games

I'm thinking that maybe ToTK will get an "enhanced" version that launches alongside (and exclusive to) Switch 2 and then, maybe a year or so later, there could be some enhanced-version-only DLC.

Whatever they do for the next game, I just want a Master Sword that never runs out of energy (or at least the timer rebuilds as you don’t use it) and a smaller Hyrule to explore, the past 2 games have been superb but I’d love them to return to something smaller that’s actually semi replay able from a story point of view.

Can't say I remember what Guidance From Ages Past actually is, but I think it's related to Mineru and the construct. In which case, meeting Zelda at the castle is best to do first unless you want to stumble around in the thunderclouds. Unless you've already done so, in which case Guidance From Ages Past will get you the fifth spirit.

Just 'finished' this. Epic stuff

What a game, 10/10 and has to be GOTY.
