Think I'll definitely leave it for a couple of days, no idea how much there actually is left to do, but I want to do it all in one go rather than breaking off from it and that'll be easier to do from Friday.

you can avoid that lynel too

In hindsight yeah, but he kept shooting me down off of the wall  Could have used the Lynel mask I suppose, of course I only thought of that after I'd defeated it.

Have they nerfed the damage from Lynels anyway? Recall even with the same armour rating/load out in BotW (72 rating) I'd still get battered, but that one didn't hit anywhere near as hard, or maybe I've just gained skills :slol:

I meant there’s a path which hides you from its view

Oh was there? I was too busy trying to avoid nearly every other enemy down there too

The (dis)advantage of killing that lynel is you get a silver lynel horn to fuse into the master sword which will kill ganon stupidly fast

Wait.
Unsure if on purpose but that's not correct... It's 152. 120 on the surface (in sync with the light roots) and 32 more in sky.

You would be right :fp: I read Ad’s post as 148 not 140

I just hit 140 shrines so I've got no idea where the remaining ones are. Might need to map out the depths a but more to help with that. Is there a similar trick when looking for the sky ones that i might have missed?

I didn't have any problems with the sky ones, visiting all of the islands/spheres you can see (without zooming in) seemed to do the trick, there is a couple of cases where the detector didn't go off though (ground and sky), thats when a puzzle/riddle needed to be solved first before the shrine appears.

Finished :toot: With about 170-175 Horus on the Switch clock.

What a game, the last hour and a bit was an amazing end to the game, its not without its faults but feels unfair to dwell on those now, certainly time to give this a break now though, its certainly got more scope to pick up and mess around in that BotW did in my opinion due to the new abilities but I don't really tend to do that, if they announce any DLC for it, I'll be there as soon as possible.

150 shrines now, and 199 light roots.

The 2 missing shrines have to be in the sky as all the light roots are lined up now. I have one light roots that i cant figure out how to get to - it's a little island just to the right of hyrule castle. I have the shrine on the top level so I know there's a root below, but I just can't find a way in to that area, either dropping in or a way through the side in the depths.

the lightroots do not line up with the ones in the sky
As for the one beneath hyrule castle you have to dive into the chasm below the castle

Ah yes I mean there's an area to the right of the castle, not the one directly below it.

There is a very small hole in the cliff face off the castle moat for that lightfoot, took me ages to find it.

Thanks, I doubt I'd have found that any time soon :dread:

Found it. I was looking all around the edges too so must have had the camera in just the wrong position to see it.

The reward:

:|

Seriously? Not even a unique set of armour.

Yep, it feels like it could do so much more in the way of a reward, but it just gives you something as worthless as Hestu's gift.

I found the last two shrines this evening and got the reward. At least it's semi useful and appears to have very high stats if upgraded to the first level. Don't know if it goes higher. Shame it makes you look like Shrek strawberry floated a giraffe.

Well and truly got its teeth back into me this. It's so good at distracting you with something else.

Yesterday I was about to make my way to Gerudo Town but I thought actually I'll get the sky tower. On my way to sort it i spotted Koltin...I'll go see him after I've scanned the region. As I went up I spotted a geoglyth...actually I want another memory I'll go do that. On my way paragliding in that direction....I hit a sky island. Maybe I'll just check that out. I then spend an hour hopping about the sky islands finding treasure chests and shrines and I'm about a good few steps away from what I originally intended and an hour past my bedtime.

This game

It really is wonderful. 10/10 game no question, probably be my GOTY too.

I'm delaying the inevitable now, it really is end game time. I've got some side adventures left which I'll save for if I fancy going back to the game every now and then (or if there's DLC), but it's on to the ending next :(
