And I've just realised that howling correctly at those stones will get you good things. :fp:

Just beat the Water Temple. Wasn't as bad as I remembered.

Looking forward to putting more time in tomorrow. Not really doing much this weekend, so I can get a good go at it.

Must admit I am a little envious of you Wii U owners and even fired up the old Wii to start Twilight Princess again. The fact that the Wii U version is unmirrored has me quite excited. I hope the NX is backwardly compatible with Wii U, but with it being a different architecture I highly doubt it now! Any good Wii U deals about? :shifty:

The Splatoon/Mario Kart 8 pack was 200 quid a while back.

Man, the over world stuff in this game just bores my tits off. It remind's me of Shadow of the Colossus in that the game world is big but has very little of interest in it.

I'm loving the dungeons, so that's the major driving force behind me playing it.

Still better than Windy Waker.

Not really... Argos is advertising the Zelda Wind Waker Console pack at £179.99 but they no longer have any in stock for delivery and the local store search is running really slowly. Apart from that, the £199 deals of a month or so ago have disappeared now, so the standard price of circa £240 is all that is about.

I wouldn't suggest getting a console purely to play Twilight though, 'forever. I'd recommend only picking one up if there are at least five or so games that you really want to play - and I'd say that for any console, not just the Wii U.

Now Hypes, you strike me as a man of at least reasonable intelligence. Please explain how you missed this as I don't see how its possible.

Personally I'm enjoying the overworld. Just keeping an eye out for bugs and chests as I work my way through. Playing some mini games to, finding the little shortcuts about and caves. I think there is about as much to do in it then any other Zelda. Just the world is bigger so it feels sparser.

I'm not entirely sure. I played it so long ago so there's no memory from before. When I found the first one I was howling along by it but it didn't give me a song to howl along to and so I figured it was like the scarecrows in OoT. Further compounding that is that the song I howled now appears in Kakariko graveyard.
The howling in this isn't as obvious and refined as in the N64 games so that didn't help.
tldr; I must have missed a button and misconstrued what they were for.

Yeah you're right - tbh I don't have the time and it would just be an impulse purchase! I have it on the Wii anyway, so it would be a bit of a waste of money, just for better graphics and controls.

Anyway Club U, enjoy the game!

I've said it once and I'll say it again, the Arbiter Grounds boss is one of the best in this entire series. When that Volvagia music kicks in :datass:

Hah, no, I've not even started it yet (wolf amiibo is sitting there staring at me). I'm just remembering my bitter, salty tears.

I've just finished up the Lakebed Temple, and I've been enjoying it far more than I expected to. I had forgot a lot of ace details it had in its world, but it is a game even more in Ocarina's shadow than I had remembered. My lasting impression of Twilight Princess was that it collapsed in the second half, so I'm curious to see if I think the same now that I'm reaching that part. I have a sneaking suspicion that since I know that is coming I'll just be able to look past it and enjoy the dungeons more, but we'll see. Although the lack of Wii Remote aiming for the bow is a constant source of disappointment.

Yeah. Me too. The motion controls in this are good but its just not quite the same.

Also finished Lakebed Temple this morning. Really good. Like a wonderful meeting of the OOT Water Temple and Great Bay from MM. Fortunately its more like the former in quality. Boss fight was......... a bit meh. Looked alright as a spectacle but wasn't much of a fight itself.

Left the stuff after to do later for when its dark. The music.

Just reached the friendly yetis house and his missus made me get a pumpkin instead of the mirror. Hilarity ensues.

I love that the dungeon is basically a quest for soup ingredients.

Soup is serious business.
