Enjoy Jawa! Can't believe it's taken you this long to get around to playing it!

Thanks, Robbo! I did start the game on Wii U when it launched, but I only played it for a little bit and never made it off the opening plateau. I hope to progress further this time :-).

Ah the joy of going through these things for the first time! Enjoy Jawa!

That said it makes me wish the wider game was as demanding as some of those early moments. For example the Plateau as the only area where I really worried about having to enter a cold area and felt like it was a challenge that I had to prepare for. Similarly with things like needing to chop down trees to traverse chasms - that part that encourages this in the opening is I think the only time I ever did it.

Still a phenomenal experience I just wish I had to be more inventive throughout!

It's part of the Expansion Pass, Curls. If you have the pass, you can find it in a treasure chest on top of the ruins wall on the opening plateau.

I was so pleased with myself when I solved that puzzle like that. I was almost ready to throw my controller through the window by that point.

I'm guessing while admiring the games menu his finger sort of 'twitched' and accidentally pressed on new game then he experienced a moment of shock at what he'd done and got twitchy finger syndrome again, accidentally pressing on a save file to start with. And so, the journey into the wild has started for Sir Jawa.

Yep, the journey has started; I did play briefly on Wii U but then got distracted by other titles. Today I was in the right frame of mind to start a big adventure game!

I thought Jawa had started this and just never got off the plateau. Or maybe it's just that now that with every big title, in my head I clearly define The Jawa Horizon, which is the point you clear where you know Jawa would give up.

He did on Wii U and was bested by the plateau. Much like he was bested by the Hyrule Field in Ocarina of Time.

Fields are jawa's nemesis

Got back onto this, mopping up the ridiculous number of shrines is not the one (On 99/100 as of last night)...

I'll try out as many of the side quests as possible afterwards then it's off to die I guess :dread:

I thought there were more than 100 shrines? I've done 99 on my game so far and I'm sure I've got at least 2 "Shrine Quests" that I still need to complete...

Had great fun with this last night, I think I'm actually enjoying it more now that I've done the main activities and most of the shrines and I can just pick a direction on the map and see what I find! :D

Oh yeah there's like 120 pre-DLC ones, but I couldn't remember my exact number and I completed one before bed so wasn't sure if it was #99 or #100

Don't forget you can capture videos by holding down the screenshot button. Share your adventure with GR :toot:

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:
