I hope that it's like Dark Souls in that you can go, nearly, anywhere you want but doing so means that the odds of survival are approximately 3720 to 1.

Granted most people will just make a link lookalike but it'd still be cool.
As long as I can choose to be an argonian

Did I hear right that we'll be able to tackle the dungeons in any order?

Hopefully they get around that by having as little plot as possible so the game doesn't suffer.
Glad to hear them say they're looking to the original for inspiration, I just hope the main lesson they take from it is to leave out the hand holding. (which they apparently did in Link Between Worlds? I think I may have to get myself a 3DS/2DS just for that, if it's as good as I've heard)

yep they did this in link between worlds. It was really well done and you could tackle each dungeon in different order ,the dungeons still required certain items and sometimes multiple items but these could be rented or purchased in any order to take on the areas, this also included certain areas not being accessible unless you had the right item. There is also a quick transport system which was brilliant to use but i found i always wanted to wander more in this and discover different areas,it was my favourite Zelda for years.

I'm not sure that it sold well, though. Yes, it's done 2 million but there are 45 million 3DS owners out there, and it dropped off very quickly.
