They swirl around the pot just above it, they don't go in the mix.

Really missing that there's (seemingly) no dungeons in this. The shrines have been stupidly easy (and ive done the motion ones) and the 2 divine beasts ive done so far have also been really easy, with me not taking a single hit on the second one. I've always though of them as being the meat to zelda games, so i'm missing them.

Loading screen hint suggest that the fairies are just helping with the cooking/elixir making. Haven't done it yet so I don't know if it comes through when you actually do it, or if they just bounce around in the pan with the rest of the ingredients.

Sprinkling some fairy dust in them perhaps..... It make more sense than picturing Link picking wings out of his teeth I suppose.

I find it weird that you don't catch them in bottles anymore.

But I guess now they actively run away from you and you have to sneak up on them to catch them, so there is still an element of being villainous.

I want to be a Rito and have Kass as my best friend

How can anyone not become attached to some of these characters.

After 64 hours and 16 minutes, Ganon has been defeated. I think that deserves a beer.

What a strawberry floating game. As the credits scrolled, I felt like I should write to every single person there individually and thank them for Breath of the Wild. Without a shadow of a doubt the single greatest gaming experience I have ever had.

I was not playing in Hyrule, I was a part of it. I was completely engrossed, and I felt like I was an actual part of the world. The feeling of going from being one-shotted by simple enemies to beasting guardians is incredibly satifying, and I felt like I earned every victory. I love that some of the world's lore was hidden in journals and diaries, it felt very like Elder Scrolls in that way, and it helped flesh out characters that do not get much screen time, and even explained why Link is silent.

The one question that bugs me is this: where do Nintendo go from here?

I hope we get a darker, 'Majora's Mask' like sequel that is essentially the same game but with lengthier, 'proper' dungeons and more runes or traditional Zelda items.

Although I agree with your feelings towards the game...probably my favourite game of all time.

Clambering to the top of Death Mountain. That view

Looking to the East and it's like a whole other world, it looks so beautiful and attainable. I can't help but be reminded of this...

Get weepy thinking about it

I think (Akkala) Tarrey Town is possibly the best sidequest in Zelda history.

Been whistling he tune all day.

I'm probably exaggerating in saying I'm not attached to any of the characters, Kass is great and I've loved bumping into him all over the map and there are a number of other characters I've really enjoyed meeting, like Purah and Robbie at the research labs. Beedle is just as great to encounter as in previous games and I've really liked the champions I've met so far too (and their successors) - I think my only issue with them is that meeting with them can be all too brief, depending on how you explore the game you could go through it without meeting Kass at all (Or only seeing him once or twice). I just feel as if I'd like to spend a bit more time with some of these characters but again that's the nature of open world games.

Contrary to these points about the characters, and the disappointment I've felt at the divine beast 'dungeons' and bosses I spent a few hours exploring the map last night, found some brilliantly hidden away shrines, had some crazy enemy encounters and stood and marvelled over the size (and beauty of the world) while exploring the Snowpeak area of the map. That is definitely where this game is at its best, the sense of exploration and wonder is completely unmatched and the attention to detail is what really makes the world stand out from others.

I just realised the flower in the logo is a Silent Princess. This is symbolic, because it is established in the game that the species was at risk, but managed to flourish after Calamity Ganon's attack 100 years ago.

It's a symbol that Hyrule will recover and flourish.

Rito Stable has tons of wood which makes it much quicker.

I got all my wood in the area right next to the village. There are loads of trees there. It takes about 10 minutes to gather the required amount. I have no idea why Mafro is making such a big deal of it.
