[INCESSANT LOUD SHRINE DETECTOR NOISES]

You did the right thing

Not every shrine is detectable before you uncover it anyway, so it's not a sure way of finding them.

Cheers OR.

I'm rained off work today so had a little play this morning - unfortunately I have an awful loft of chores and paperwork to do now though.....

But your post made me have a thought. I've cheated a little and looked up the number of Shrine Quests and compared it with those I've completed. I'm four short so only one Shrine could actually be found by the detector now. Guess I'm going to go have to go back to villages etc and talk to more people. Good to know though.

Did you do the Shrine near Rito village which requires a korok leaf to make appear? That's one that I've stumbled upon that won't show on the Shrine detector.

Hi KjG, yes done that one I'm afraid. Going to have a little rest from it for a while now I think. Maybe pick it back up at the weekend.

I didn't know about cooking to start with, so I just ate apples the whole way up.

That has almost been true on a couple of occasions in the past... but I'm a new man now :) .

I may well explore that method when I return to the game!

Befriend dogs!
Nintendo Life wrote:The news articles pop up in your feed and now there's one explaining how you can befriend dogs in the game.

Get stuff!
Nintendo Life wrote:You open it up, scroll down and hit 'Start Software', at which point the game will boot up as normal. When you load your save a piece of raw meat and two apples will fall from the sky and land at Link's feet, and this also applies to Master Mode...

Nintendo Life wrote:...You humble scribe was a bit unlucky, though, as the apples rolled off down a hill after landing... So, yeah, try and stand on a flat area when you quit the game...

One shrine to go. It's a shrine quest one as well. Where the bloody hell is it?!

Not the island in the south east?

The spicy peppers won't do anything unless they're cooked afaik. No ingredients have any effect unless they are cooked. Just drop them in a fire or cook 5. It's not that hard.

I also carried a torch and within that area you can find a winter jacket.

Honestly I'm surprised that less than hour of persistence is required to learn this much, I guess there's too many games to play these days.

There are multiple, logical ways to navigate the obstacles in the game so if you want quest markers and buffs chucked at you constantly this isn't your game. In that respect, it's actually quite difficult.

The combat isn't that complex but it does take some skilled timing to dodge and parry moves consistently and with certain combinations of enemies it can be quite difficult.

Some shrines are better than others. But with over a hundred of them I find that hard not to compare to a couple of a dungeons.

I think Nintendo will build on this formula with some proper dungeons next time, but I have wanted a zelda game that isn't just the same old for such a long time.

Which by the way, I've beaten Ganon now, probably a bit OP'd. Hyrule castle was awesome.

I've clocked 154 hours in 34 seasons. That's 6 whole days. :dread:

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Hopefully it will grow on you Brer, if you look back a couple of pages you will see that I have loads of issues with the game but somewhere along the line I really started to enjoy it.

I'm surprised you're not a fan of the combat, to me it feels the same cheap bollocks as Dark Souls. Just for clarity I do like DS but much like a lot of terrible stuff gets completely overlooked by fans and apologists.

1 mans meat Brer. I personally think it's a fantastic game and I've invested so many hours into it on both Cemu and the Switch. Is your Wii U copy fully updated with DLC? If the voice acting is bad for you try a but of Jap or another language.

It's a brilliant game. It is not without it's faults.

I have enjoyed some of it, ive just had a lot of issues too, tho. and the negative outweighed what ive enjoyed so far.

I totally understand why you feel like that, the weapon degradation still pisses me off no end. I hope it starts you click for you.
