I honestly have no strawberry floating clue how many hours I have spent traversing the landscape, and never being bored. There's plenty of sidequests, common complaint about recent Zeldas. They really nailed that (as well has having several populated locations). I still have whole sections of sidequests to do.

I loved Skyward Sword, but hated that Skylofts was the only real hub (that stupid cafe doesn't count). OoT had Castle Town and Kakariko village. Link's Awakening had Mabe village and Animal Village (and loads of little extras).

Extra little places that make it feel like an actual world rather than just a map for dungeons and one location to buy potions.

Thanks Nintendo...

I really didn’t expect the game to be so well populated and I loved that aspect of it, each Village was a treat to visit. I’d love to get a reformed Castle Town in the DLC but I don’t think that’s happening.

I'd really like to pick this up again for the switch, but I always see open world games as one and done, going back makes the world seem less real when it's all reset.

So the champions amiibo looks like it is being dispatched soon from Nintendo. Do we know what else they do yet?
Any chance they will just release the new DLC without advertising it first?

Nice one, Shug - I’m envious!

Mipha: Vah Ruta Divine Helm -- Swim Speed Up (Lv1)
Urbosa: Vah Naboris Divine Helm -- Electricity Resistance (Lv1)
Revali: Vah Medoh Divine Helm -- Cold Resistance (Lv1)

Additionally, the Divine Helms grant a set bonus--Ancient Proficiency--when equipped with Ancient Cuirass and Ancient Greaves (which need to be upgraded to at least two stars). That bonus increases the attack power of Ancient and Guardian weapons. Each Helm also increases defense against ancient energy attacks and displays an enemy's HP gauge, like the Champion's Tunic.

OMG I just realised that the words Helm and Helmet are very similar.

Man, I am thick sometimes.

Quick question. I don't think this is really a spoiler but just incase

Right I am after ancient cores to get the ancient amor but killing guardians doesn't seem to be working as they never seem to drop them. So I am after a faster and safe way than just parrying their beam with a shield does anyone know if the ancient shield last forever when used to reflect their beams or does it still break?

It does break and you should generally avoid using it except where you are inundated with guardians from different angles and need to take them out quickly (also with ancient arrows). The most effective way is to just use normal arrows or other better arrows to stun them in the eye and then cut their legs off with master sword or ancient sword (the chain blade thing is excellent if you don't have master sword yet). You can topple them to reveal a weakspot. Be ballsy and you can climb right on them and hit eye with your weapon.

However very few guardians drop cores in the game, mostly only the ones running around and not usually, it is a rare drop. There are some in shrine chests and well hidden in divine beasts.

I farmed them from around castle town once I had the master sword

Rare drop, but there's enough guardians in a small area that you will get something in not too long

I too found core farming tough but as OR says eventually you reach a point where you can just mow Guardians down with the Master Sword like a total badass and then it gets easier.

Wouldn't it be easier to use ancient arrows?

1 shot to the eye with them.

Games updated recently apparently DLC that has something to do with Xenoblade 2 (weapon quest or something)

Yeah it's a Xenoblade armour side quest. Though "quest" is a bit of an overstatement.
