On Android look for an app called chef I've not used it yet but others have said it's good.

It's ok. Only contains a fraction of the actual recipes available in the game and has none of the detail you get with he guide. I'd be pissed off I paid for it but my Google Play credit isn't going anywhere else.

The best materials for status enhancements are

The best monster parts to increase the duration of effects are
Bokoblin Guts
Moblin Guts
Lynell Guts
Molduga Guts
Hinox Guts
Lizalfos Tail (all)
Keese Eyeball

They put over 140 recipes in the game. And that's just different pictures you can get for your recipes, when you start adding in status effects :dread: it's crazy how much of a game they made the cooking  I only discovered you could do bread after 200 hours of play :slol:

Thanks. I'm trying to work out of there are any modifiers that get better results than just using five of the same ingredient. I also need to work out the best animal to monster part ratio for elixers.

For the very best ingredients you only need 3 to get a 3* status enhancement, all of the above you only need 4 at most I think.

Killed my first lynel the banana split.
Done the beasts.
Still got about 50 shrines to find and areas to discover.

Wandered into hyrule castle promptly got shot down by those strawberry floating sentinels.

Love it.

Hyrule castle is one big dungeon isnt it? Is there a point of no return?

The game makes it fairly clear, but highlight if you want to be sure: When you get to the room at the top of the castle where the orange dot on your map is, if you enter that room, you're locked in to the boss battle.

Going to do a few more shrine quests this morning and then head back to the castle to farm some cores to finish upgrading my ancient armour.

There's been a few really cool shrine quests like
the giant white bird from the top of the tree. Almost like the witness in the way you solved that and I really enjoyed it. Another normal shrine being hidden behind a door you have to bash with a snowball was also really nice. I wish there were more hidden away in that style rather than a generic thing just plonked somewhere.

Also going to use my Wolf link amiibo for the first time and see what that's like.

Dat music in hyrule castle.

Exactly what i was after  dont have any special armour yet. Do the guardians respawn? Please dont say they do. :x

Trying to get all the wood bundles is tiresome but hopefully itll be worth it.

I love this game. Utterley amazing.

Now I never saw this bird even though I went to the tree (I think). I found the shrine by flying from there though
