Get out.

Going in a straight line, no worries, make an ever so slight turn, WHY U NO MOVE NO MORE.

It's a complete waste of time getting on one.

I had this problem with the horses, I even posted about it, but if you have a wild horse and tame it so it's trust or whatever is full it's fine. Also bokoblin risen horses are gooseberry fool too.

Strangely enough my best horse (Binky) was the first one I saw in the game. Rescued her from some nasty Bokoblin. She had the best all round stats of any horse I found, apart from the White and Giant ones. She had 3 stars for all three stats, whereas every other horse I found and tamed was either 1-2 stars in each stat or 4 for one stat and 1-2 for the others.

Have you been using the L button to soothe them? Feeding them apples and carrots also works very well to gain their trust. I really like the horses, the way they follow roads autonomously is ace.

I've got all the Shrines now so I think I'll defeat Ganon soon and then leave the game for a bit until the DLC comes out in August when I'll start my 100% Korok quest.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Is the horse max affinity, try holding a bunch of apples for it to eat beforehand as I'm convinced there is a small hidden gauge you can boost when the horse is being a dick (horse taking damage and hitting obstacles also affects this). Also different horses have agility and stamina which affects turn circle, sustained speed and jumping. You shouldn't go too slow or too fast approaching the jumps or the horse will either walk around it or stop. Actually a canter is fine, not a gallop. It's very petty.

It is annoying, I still haven't done it. I reached the last jump with time to spare and just hit the post.

The horses are a million times better than previous games. It makes you like a particular horse that is right for you and keep it happy, which is more emergent stuff imo. It was my partner that discovered them drinking and eating apples that roll around..it's great sharing these things.

"It should be common sense to just accept the message Nintendo are sending out through their actions."

Is there any way to let your bad horses go?

There is no knacker's yard in BOTW (quite the opposite actually), but you can replace old horses with new ones once you've registered five of them.

I called my first horse 'Boxer' because I knew that he'd get the chop eventually.

I have the Royal Mount and the Big horse. There's really no need for my others anymore, which is why I asked.

Quoted from a letter in this month's Edge.

Love that.

First time I encountered the 3 hinox's at the weekend. This game is huge! Only zora and goron areas done so far. So many korok seeds to get.

So after 2 months or whatever, how does everyone feel about this game?

A lot of the critics at release were saying that it was the best thing ever. I know this happened with other Zelda games but then issues arise whenever it's released to the public.

Just interested. I still haven't played it, hopefully later in the year.

I've not played for a while, I sort of got bored.

I have done 2 beasties both in quick succsession and although I'm kind of progressing it is all from just walking in a random direction and stumbling across stuff. For me there isn't enough structure and "hey go do this thing" and that bugs me. Open is all well and good but I do like to have quest givers and gooseberry fool that give a bit more direction.

It's the best game ever

I stopped playing a couple of weeks ago after clocking 120+ hours completion for what it's worth

This is the best game I have ever played and I have clocked up well over 100 hours on the Wii U and now the switch. It is just so well crafted and is such a joy to play - I haven't stopped playing it since I got it and my PS4 has not been used for a while!

Probably the best open world sandbox type game made. But personally I found a lot of the more meaningful Zeldary stuff a bit disappointing. Often far too easy and short and whilst the systems in place are really great I felt some of it was too much of a faff and they went too far into the RPG parts.

I'm only just re-starting it. I did about two hours in the Wi U version and I'm just approaching that point on the Switch version. Even though I've only played a wee bit of it, it feels rather special.

You have been speaking to all the NPC's in towns and stuff? There's loads of small side quests and one or two bigger ones.

Though one thing I've noticed a complete lack of is caves. Seriously. There are a couple of small "indents" (For want of a better word) but not once can I remember finding a proper cave. Seemed like a strange omission to me.

There's also loads of missing monsters and stuff from previous games. Some additional variety in the enemies would have been nice.

Divine Beasts were great, but no replacement for "proper" dungeons either.

All that said it's still my favourite game in the series and easily one of the best games I've ever played. Potentially the best.
