Isn't it pretty odd we still don't have a date for the second round of DLC?

Also, are we expecting more DLC next year, or is this likely all we're going to get now?

It is a bit odd. But I wonder if Keighley moneyhatted the strawberry float out of them to shadow drop it during The Game Awards.

I doubt there’ll be any more DLC, though Anouma has mentioned a couple of times how they want people to be playing for a long time. It could mean nothing more than it being a big game, it could be they’re increasing the map to include all the land to the north, it could be a Battle Royale mode :datass:

I can totally see them rebuilding OoT in this engine before we get a next full release.

I read somewhere that DLC2 was listed as being December 31st! I think to release after Christmas would actually make a great deal of sense. So we'll see.

That would be nice. I really am interested to see how big the dlc is in terms of gaming hours.

I have rather embarrassing clocked up over 210 hours on this, and thats only on the switch version - I played a good portion on the wii u before i got nintendos hybrid wonder machine.

I’ve got everything in the game apart from the korok seeds. If there was a reward for collecting all of them i might have continued, but am more likely to replay the game next year. What a game.

My only issues were the lack of proper dungeons and the pretty unspectacular bosses.

I've been paying more attention to my armour at all times and I've definitely been getting more white enemies and better weapons with my best stuff equiped. It's weird, in nearly every other game I'd be paying constant attention to what armour I'm wearing but in this if I change it for the elemental things I just forget to change it back.

Taking a break from grinding for the ancient armour upgrades and I'm reminded of all the great things this game does. I started looking for a memory, ended up finding a shrine and an area I hadn't been too and just lost an hour and a half.

I don't know if I can be bothered grinding anymore ancient cores, I have one piece of ancient gear at level 3 and the others at level 2, the master sword, all the Guardians done and I know how to make some great food. That should be enough to finish this shouldn't it?

Get ready for a piss easy end boss because you're way over powered.

I'd say get the other pieces to level 3 just to make sure...

Not having any of those things is probably enough to finish it.

I really don't get this game

Everything I've done there looks like the natural order to do things, perhaps with the exception of the armour.

Seriously? I find The Guardians can be a bit annoying, the time it takes Link to get up after being hit by their beam is about the same time as it takes the beam to recharge.

No I wasn't being serious, you'll probably find the ending quite easy

It's not that you've gone out of your way and become OP, it's just that the ending isn't that challenging - and many people have beaten it without doing all the divine beasts, for example

You shouldn't be being hit by them at your level TBH. You should be knocking the proverbial seven shades out of them.

Just chop their legs off.

I maxed out all of my armour, just to give myself something else to do.

Looking forward to the DLC, I too have been wondering when it might appear.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Once I hit them I do but occasionally it wont register a bit if the leg is in a weird position and I'm too lazy to fire an arrow in their eye.

Isn't the shield parry by far the easiest way to kill guardians? Once you know the rough timing and the sound to listen out for when to press; they're a cinch! Barely used the leg technique myself as between shield and one shot arrows they went down easily?

The ancient shield doesn't last that long though. I tend to use it in a pinch when I have it.

If you use the proper parry (pressing the deflect button as the laser hits), you can make any shield last ages. Even a pot lid will last a few goes. The ancient shield's auto-deflect is good for when you're in more panicked/ambush situations though so that you don't have to get the timing right. Definitely worth learning how to parry them properly though.
