Good grief the Guardians are hard bastards. Shooting you from miles away!

The map is spectacular. I love all the nods to previous games and characters.

I've completely lost count of the number of times the game has wowed me.

Several just by discovery of an item alone.

I think a frog just jumped into spikes around a shrine and died.

It wasn't there for me because I'd already picked it up.

Took me a while to figure out I could just put it back down and do what I needed to then pick it up again.

Iirc, I jumped from the platform with the monk and the crosswind gave me just enough of a boost without falling to make it across.

I did it by jumping on one of the blue lamps and jumping off of that

I tried the same but my timing was shite on the first jump, and it kept respawning me only to instantly drop me off the edge. :fp:

I almost feel overwhelmed by how much there is to do in this game.

I've just got the first main story gentle nudge and I want to go look around, but there's so many places to see i've got no idea where to start!

strawberry floating struggling on this! Almost everywhere I go it seems like there is instant death awaiting me!

I'm absolutely loving it, but this is much harder than I was expecting!

The only deaths I've had have been while climbing and the game bugged out when gripping an edge, dropping me to my death, and when traversing freezing water with the freezing column spell thing where he's again gripped an edge and glitched off and dropped in.

Absolutely loving this, have spent a good 4/5 hours consecutively on this tonight which I haven't done on a game since, probably GTA V? I've been following the story to an extent, just arrived at Kakariko and met Impa, not been exploring quite as much as some others seem to have. Generally been going towards the main objective but exploring things I find along the way rather than going off on my own to too much of an extent. Absolutely loving this though, such a beautiful and immersive world. Not been dying too much because of enemies so far (twice I think) but have died multiple times thanks to my own stupidity (largely firing bomb arrows from close range as I've forgotten to unequip them :fp: )

I'm only in the early stages - I've visited the first three shrines - but it seems like a cautious approach is needed. A tactical approach is required around what to tackle, when and with what. I have skirted around quite a few groups of goblins rather than take them on in a battle. The environment demands the right clothing and tools... it really does seem like an adventure:-).

I'm going to have to go to bed, but I have been playing this for way too much time today - it's just a terrific game in nearly every regard.

I suppose I have played about 7 or 8 hours at this point, and as far as I am concerned this is already just an extraordinary achievement - it...... it's wonderful!

I've played and completed every Zelda game (I'm old....), and I have always held Ocarina of Time as the greatest game in the series and, well, ever...... but this is the best thing I have played in years. It's astoundingly good!

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

I saw something similar. I was claiming one of those big towers and it had sharp vines growing up it, a bird just flew into it and died. The noise was hilarious.

You don't actually need to kill it - there's plenty of the items about the place if you sneak (assuming you're fighting same one)

If you're going to fight;

Def food and Truffles for more HP

Fast move Elixer

Jump dodge left to try and hit its hind quarters and avoid its swing. Use a quick 1 hander. I found close range best to circle it quickly. Dodge its attacks don't try and take em on a shield (unless your better equipped than I was

When it charges, dodge counter or parry and hammer it (dodge seemed better and you have a nice early window)

If it runs past you, chase it quickly and mount while it's winded - switch to heavy/slower weapon and wail in it

Good luck!

Put about 4-5 hours into this today, just got to the Kakariko Village. The game is amazing, so much to see and explore!

Well after deciding to go to Zoras village, I got a shrine which meant I could get a upgrade on my stamina. Decided to try and get to the castle, got what I think was very close to the end. Had to give up on that but figured out a way to defeat guardians the guardians shield can deflect their laser beam . Beat loads of them...... Then the red moon appeared and they all respawned :D still not at Zoras village. The music in this game is also outstanding! Will need to get this soundtrack.

I can't put into words how good this is.

I've made it to Kakariko
Just strawberry floating wow. I love it. Shame about the slowdown. The thing is I got half way through the village and then I was in the shrine and then the great fairy happened and then I climbed the hill with all the flowers on the top. I actually can't keep up and recall everything.
Met Impa and her terrified granddaughter. I love the Impa design. I even quite liked her voice at first. Then the full sequence happened and..... to me it really feels like they were recorded ages apart.

Clothes are expensive. The music is lovely. There is an artist  I quite like that interiors are no longer separate but it means no house and shop themes

I've seen a couple of falling stars now. But they always land beyond and behind something so I can't figure out where.

I think next up I'll head south to the Dueling Peaks again but this time climb them. Then head to the town I need to go to. I'll just go the long way.

I've expanded my weapon slots and got 2 stamina upgrades. Going to focus on a bit of health next.

If I could stream one game it would be this. I don't feel like writing these posts does it justice. I can't share my experience well enough. Nearly 15 hours played.
