I recommend doing the flying one first as the power you get is very useful for traversal.

Aye I'd second this, found that power invaluable for exploration.

Excellent. That's the one I'm doing last. :datass:

Although I've done all the towers, I haven't really looked around Hebra or Eldin at all yet.

I think you could probably say the same about pretty much all the regions (obviously some are better than others).

It's been my goal for the last 4 days but I'm still going to have trouble wrapping this up tonight :slol: . I could just warp to the places I need to go but I just don't like doing that and you miss so much by doing it. I'm going to let all the Zora stuff fall by the wayside as I could spend another 10 hours easy just tidying up what I have in my sidequest list in that area alone, let alone any of the bits there I've missed.

I definitely want to finish the Korok riddles but am wondering if I also want to polish off the best sidequest in the game (so far) helping build Tarrey Town. It's so wonderful and has so much personality that I'd like to wrap it up just as I ride off to save the world. But thinking I might leave it because I don't want to rush it and I reckon I've still got a bunch of places to visit.

I think Eldin is the least interesting (depends what you're including in the area). Hebra is massive, it's like a snowboarding resort maze, there's so much to see you just get twisted around where you're going and it's great fun.

Basically Death Mountain and the bits to the north and south of it. East of The Great Hyrule Forest and West of Akkala Highlands/Deep Akkala and North of Lanayru Wetlands and North West of the mountains that surround Zora's Domain

Ok, then from what I've explored, I would stand by it being the least interesting. Like you, I haven't done a whole lot in excess of the story parts though. Interested to explore right up on the crater and north of it though.

46 hours on the clock and I've not uncovered half the map yet :dread:

50 or so shrines found and 130 odd koroks.

Getting a bit annoyed with a section at the moment

I'm currently doing the Naboris beast and I'm at the section where I need to break into the thieves hideout to obtain the helmet problem is I can't seem get passed the stealth section. Do I need to do something with the Banana's?

You can use Bananas to distract the Yiga, chuck them in front of their path or somewhere they'll hear the noise. Alternatively just climb up above them and walk over the roofing to get past them

Also, use the stealth outfit and/or a stealth boosting elixir

If the tips above aren't enough, here's a mini guide. You'll need one Mighty Banana, but you can collect it on the way. No need for stealth gear or potions though they might help if you still have trouble.

First subsection: You start at a kind of 'balcony.' Look down the corridor and wait for the guard to pass. Glide down and then climb the central 'cube.' You can now pass safely.

Second subsection: From the cube, just glide down to where the chest is. This will make the guard by the door suspicious. He will approach the chest either clockwise or counter-clockwise around the 'cube' you are next to. Sneak the opposite way to head through the door. (If he doesn't get suspicious from you gliding in, you can just make a little bit of noise so he investigates.)

The rest of the section (several 'subsections,' but...): I found a trick to bypass this. Rather than go straight out into the maze again, climb some stairs (or a ladder? I forget...) to get to another 'balcony' area (with a lot of Mighty Bananas!). There's a gap in the 'window' and from it, to the far left as you look out, a ladder is visible. Pick a moment when the guards are patrolling away from it, so that when you land at its bottom you won't be in line of sight. Glide to it, then head up it as quickly as possible. You'll hear a few "Huh? Eh?" sounds from the guards as they become suspicious, but the top is a safe zone, so don't worry about it. In the rafters, you can go straight to the exit, drop a Mighty Banana down in front of the door guard so he moves away, and use the opportunity to glide down to the door and move through.

There shouldn't be any more stealth after that, if I recall correctly. Good luck!

Just coming across Lanayru Bay for the first time. Staggeringly beautiful and no story based here, I wonder how many people never come to this place. This game will never cease to startle me with how pretty it is.

And who's waiting to greet me but my favourite character in the game

I desperately hope Nintendo keep this Hyrule for the next Zelda.

I've made pretty signifcant progress on this today, got through a few more shrines (up to 42 now I believe) and done two of the dungeons, van medoh and vah ruta

I did Vah Ruta first and was pretty disappointed with it, found the whole thing easy but had a few frustrating moments where the game didn't really behave (in terms of control and responsiveness) the way I've become used to. Didn't really enjoy it at all to be honest.

Van Medoh was a lot better but again far too easy and short.

It's the first real disappointment of the game for me so far but they pale in comparison to the dungeons in the other 3D Zelda games, the bosses were equally disappointing too. It annoyed me how they had no specific weakness, or several attack routines, just a health bar. I just spammed them with arrows and the fights were over quickly and easily, such uninspired designs too.

I absolutely love the open world game design but I hope for the next Zelda game they return to a more traditional dungeon structure.

Feels like there should be a stable between Fort Hateno and the Village.

Rolling into Kakariko on my Mega Horse is epic, I stabled this thingas soon as I found it but the last 10 or so hours it's become my go to method of transport, I love it.

As I continue to travel around the map I'm constantly passing through and by large chunks of map that I've yet to visit. I even think there are some parts of road I've not ridden down. I adore this world so much

There's 500 hours in this game easy.

Think I'm beginning to fatigue a bit with this now as I'm wanting to move on to other games. Done just over 50 hours or so and I think the fact I've stretched it out over the past two weeks or so hasn't helped. Would probably been better if I'd condensed it a bit. I'm still loving it, but I'm getting less concerned with exploring every area thoroughly now and I'm just wanting to push on with the story a bit more. That said I'm still loving it and I'm on the path to my last Divine Beast at the Yiga Hideout. Gonna try and get all the way up to the Master Sword then go around and finish the shrines, memories and side-quests before I finally take on Ganon.
