Unquestionably my favourite game of all time and I thought OOT would hold that mark forever. Just loved every minute in the world Nintendo created. It just felt so authentic. Loved all the little touches that just add to the immersion and the hours I spent just running, climbing, horse riding and gliding (not to mention the tremendous fun that shield surfing is) whilst discovering new areas, places people and things was an absolute joy.

Special mention to the horse god who resurrects your dead horses.

Aw did you horse die from an accident
Yes

Epic game. Finest piece of software it's ever been my pleasure to play.

You quite liked it then?

I'd give it an EDGE 7.

Sometimes a 7 is better than an 8.

Anything there or did I waste time swimming over?

I was wondering the same thing myself when I found it. Couldn't see anything, but it certainly looks like there is something special about it.

Is that just west of the forest? If so I was attacked by a whole bunch of stalbokoblins. It looked like a scripted event rather then random night time attacks. I dont remember actually finding anything interesting there though. Not even sure there was a Korok. Silly game.

I just found a shrine in the desert by lighting some torches. Died first time but then I killed the sand shark thing in one hit once it popped up :>

Spin attack with camel power is godlike.

:datass: Camel power FTW.

I like the DLC. It's not the main event, but it's still more stuff to see and do. Which can only be a good thing.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

That shrine quest where you need a blood moon to make the shrine appear :x Didn't get one for ages so I just left Link standing on the pedestal, left the system on and turned the TV off before I went to bed last night. Shrine ws there when I turned it on this morning  8-)

Im gonna stay strong and save the DLC for when I get the Switch version later in the year. I am super tempted by the Heros Path stuff though, I really would love to know what areas of the map I neglected during my playthrough.

Trial of the Sword is very fun and worth playing. Gets pretty tough right at the end too. I need to get better at parrying lasers.

Halfway through collecting all the bonus armour now, I'm loving going back to the game.

Hero's path is very cool, I've noticed a fair few areas I've never been to because of it. Playing back your path through the game is fun to see - kind of weird that it counts reviving by fairy or mipha's grace as a death though. It means there is no differentiation between my two actual deaths and the numerous times I used revives.

Would have looked bizarre from the perspective of an NPC since you have to stand on it naked too.

Arrgh, I hates you!! I'm stuck at 104. I can't even find the last remaining shrine quests. Progress is painfully slow at the moment - however, I will not give up!

I just used the interactive shrine map on IGN to find the last 20. Couldn't be strawberry floated finding them normally.

I spent about two weeks (gametime) lighting fires near the shrine for the bloodmoon one. In the end I just went out and twatted a lot of monsters and that seemed to activate it a lot quicker.

I only found some of the shrine quests after I found all the shrines. Don't give up, don't be like dat Maf :fp: Finding the last few takes some patience; so many false dawns and shattered hopes, but that's offset by the giddy excitement of eventually finding them followed by a warm glow of satisfaction.

...or be like dat Maf and stop frittering your strawberry floating life away. :fp:

It's a tough call.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.
