There are other statues to pray and offer spirit orbs to, there was one in Kakariko Village opposite Impa's place so I'm just guessing each town probably has one.

Ahh cool

How do they have the same net result? I never really needed the attack buff so didn't use them much at all, so I did use defence foods more (against some Lynels specifically). But I don't see how they have the same net result, they do different things.

I use net in accounting terms. Lower cost so lower price, same net profit. High cost but higher price, same net profit.

In this case, with attack buffs you do more damage and defeat enemies faster. But it doesn't help you take one or two potentially fatal hits if your armour is weak or the enemy attacks are cheap or you get swamped.
With defence buffs, you can take more damage and so last longer dealing more hits to defeat the enemy, but you're still reducing the same amount of HP, you're still defeating the same enemy.

Different tactics, same net result: the enemy dies. My argument is I found this easier and better and you don't need to cook more than extra heart and defence meals referring to the people complaining that they get one shot killed and have weak base defence because they didn't know about upgrading armour.

Guess it depends what you're fighting and how you're playing. If you're stealthily taking enemies down or great at dodging/blocking, then attack buffs are probably going to be more useful.

I've died more times trying to climb down things than by anything else after just doing the plateau

Was there any clothing you could get for the cold areas? Or did I just miss them completely?

There is a clear punishment for choosing to always cheese enemies by throwing bombs from a window, and it's the most fundamental one in gaming - it's not that fun. Why would you complain about it then choose to do it?

So is having to wait for the rain to pass but damn it I still did it! :P

You can get a shirt on the great plateau that gives you cold resistance. There are two separate ways of getting it, completing the cooking quest for the old man or climbing to the highest point and talking to the old man.

There are two locations where you can cold-resistance clothing. 1. The Great Plateau 2. The village near the Beast in the north-west

Is stamina worth upgrading or just go for hearts

Stamina is worth upgrading because you can do more of this stuff

Climbing
Running
Shield parrying
Gliding

I'd upgrade hearts to 5 or 6 at most before putting off stamina

Stamina > health

Health you can get around by just eating loads and pausing and a few recipes that extend your hearts. Plus upgrading armour. Stamina makes everything you do easier. It will help you find the things to make you stronger.

I'm 30+ hours in and two divine beasts done. This is the most obviously 10/10 game I've played although I do get sad when I have to enter a shrine or divine beast as i want to just mess around outside all the time. Have used guides a few times to skip puzzles and get them over with.

So glad this game didn't go down a Witcher 3 style route, as an extremely casual gamer I find strawberry floating around with all the stats bullshit interminably dull.

That motion controlled puzzle shrine near the start was still a pile of horse gooseberry fool mind.

Just by wandering around I ended up in the castle and almost completed the game :slol: I'm still claiming I lost on purpose in the end as i didn't want it to be over.

Reckon I've got another 10ish hours of gametime still to go, I'm not a completionist by any stretch.

If it's the one I encountered then 100% this. I don't know if the weird motion control lag was on purpose but it did my strawberry floating head in.

after about 10drops I got annoyed and shock the controller and if flipped up and over and straight where is should be, total fluke.

Did it again and realised you can turn the board upside down and use it as a flat surface

Found a video of it. The ball maze cheat. This will blow your mind if you had issues with it.

Don’t look until you’ve done it.
