It would quickly become a pretty dull game if the blood money didn't happen.

The annoying thing is the way it wants to play the same cutscene every time it happens - after I've seen it once I know what is happening, just let me play!

I’m enjoying this more now I have more hearts, and have got the resurrection spell which counteracts some of the one shots. My equipment slots have grown a bit to which eliminates some of my issues also.

My equipment is upgraded, just need to find more fairy’s shrines, and get the master sword.

The faults are still there in my eyes, but that’s not to say I’m not enjoying it. Leaning towards a high 7 or an 8. With two divine beasts left to do before what I assume is the end game at the castle.

It's to hide a loading screen right? At least you can skip it so it doesn't take too long.

It may be covering for loading of some description, however it is still annoying to be yanked away from what you are doing in a game that is otherwise trying to be immersive.

Yeah sure. I just meant I don't think it's as bad as them deciding to make that cutscene play every time for no reason. Like if they had made the item pickup description happen every time

Went to play this last night and it turns out the game didn't autosave after beating Ganon  :fp:

I know it's not that hard but this is so inept from Nintendo.

I don't know what you expected to happen, but the ending of the game is the ending of the game -- there's no playing 'after' Ganon. If you go back into that save file you'll always be at the autosave just before the boss room.

So Princess Zelda saying there is so much to do wasn't directed at the player?

No. You can go back and do side quests, shrines, armour upgrades etc but there's no end game state unfortunately.

Another baffling decision that makes me wonder how people view this as such a move forward for open world games. Granted it's not that big of a deal but another really silly decision.

It does save after, if you take any photos during the final boss you will still have them, and the completion percentage etc. becomes available on the map/in the menus. Also the marker against the save file

If the actual game world changed to reflect having saved it, wouldn't it become a really boring world with no enemies in it?

They are used for things. You probably don't need all of them.

It would take a lot of work to change the world post beating Ganon, a lot more than a game like say Odyssey. Plus you can beat Ganon without getting the divine beasts. They'd have to make changes there to avoid contradictions in a post Ganon game world. I'd have liked it too but I guess they deemed it not worth the effort.

Zelda games pretty much always do that at the end, since Ocarina at least.

Yeah, I remember excitedly going to Zora's Domain after completing Ocarina for the first time to see if it had been unfrozen and being disappointed that it hadn't.

Zelda games also had dungeons, weapons that didn't break after a couple hits, etc. This is supposed to be a revalotary open world game.
