I've managed to get most of the memories, maybe got 4 left now. I've also started the photographing-all-of-the-things-in-the-game thing so that's eaten up a good chunk of my time. Do you get anything for doing that?

I never photographed everything in my first play through (although me being rather lazy and not wanting to snap pics all the time) I would rather just pay 100 rupees to have a new photograph from the two people at Hateno rather than take pics all over Hyrule (I just enjoy exploring it rather than stopping to take pics all of the time). No idea if you get anything for getting them all, worthwhile getting all of the memories though!

I forgot you could do that! Do they guaranteed give you a photo for something you don't already have a picture of? If so I am totally just going to pay them to mop up my final few, I only have a handful of butterflies/birds and a few weapons.

...I'm really not sure what weapons I'm missing, it confuses me greatly.

No idea either I'm sorry to say! Never ventured down this route either in my first play through.... Probably worthwhile just giving it a go anyway as rupees become pretty worthless after a while as they're easy to obtain from various methods.

So I've put a good few hours i now. Got about 3 memories, 30 koroks and 20 shrines. I was just wandering and found Prince Zora. I think I'll do that bit of the main quest, as much as I'm loving the freedom of it, it'd be nice to have some direction for a wee while. I just find myself on completely opposite sides of the map and then getting sidetracked or something!

Seriously strawberry float the motion control shrines in this game, they are so gooseberry fool and not fun. Terrible.

They are genuinely awful. I still haven't been able to do the ball one near Hateno village.

I genuinely don't see what the problem is with them. I think I've done almost every shrine in the game and can't say I've found any motion ones that were especially difficult or annoying?

They are so much worse if you're playing in handheld mode.

In the DLC shrine with motion control I had to take off the joycons because it was basically impossible otherwise, it was a complete faff and very annoying.

You mean you don't just roll about waving your Switch till you solve it?...... Just me then!

I never had any huge issues with them though, nothing that resetting the puzzle and starting again couldn't solve anyway. At the same time I wouldn't be sad if they didn't reappear in the next game though.

Never really had any trouble with the motion puzzles on Wii U. Especially since you can completely cheese themby flipping the maze upside down if you're stuck.

Hard enough to do that at home, let alone the bus

It'd have been ideal if they'd offered an option of just using the sticks for when you are out and about.

None of the motion control games are that difficult if you're persistent. They're just not that fun.

They're not fun at all, they're an exercise in frustration. I turned it off last night in annoyance, first time I've done that with this.

I found them a novel and not too frustrating challenge but a case study in motion controls strawberry floating up so easily.

Have a quick look at a guide for the exact location - theres no shame in it as the game world is huge!

If I recall correctly it isn't far from the road when you walk in. Saying this I'm sure this one didn't activate when I first visited the oasis either but did on my second visit.

Just think, if this had stayed as a Wii U only game, it would have been packed with motion stuff :dread:
