With hindsight (bearing in mind that I wanted to bang my head against a brick wall at the time), I enjoyed my run-ins with Solaris. His Sony fanboyism was far more delusional than anything the present GR crop can come up with. I loved it when he flat-out lied about stuff by posting ancient IGN links masquerading as present-day opinion. In a way he was the Hugo of his day in terms of being immovable from bizarre views, but while Hugo flip-flops between his targets for love or hate, Solaris's views were always channelled through the Sony bias machine, which led to brilliance. He didn't make a single post about Microsoft that wasn't negative, or a single post about Sony that didn't take its side.

What a character. But clearly he had some kind of acute personality disorder, so I hope he's okay, wherever he is now.

By the way, who was that guy who used to post on Gamufi all the time and was like the blackest black stereotype gangsta thickie ever? He was funny.

I've sort of lost touch with Pan and Gario so no wedding invite. Saw the former almost exactly a year ago but haven't seen Gario since Uni, going on 7 years now.

No, they split before the end of Uni. His new Mrs is nice but I've only met her the once, think she's called Sarah.

It was six years since Uni thinking about it, but still. Time does indeed strawberry floating, fly.

Well, y'know, Japanese movies. One was a short five minute piece advertising a brand of male fashion, and the other was a massive blockbuster featuring L from Death Note and some guy from Journeys. But for my visa running out, I could have been a bona fide movie start by now... Pity me, Elbo. I lived the dream. :cry:
