Finished building Destiny's Bounty last night. Not only was it an amazing bargain (£75 at Smyths a while back) but possibly the most enjoyable build ever for me. I've built many modulars and the Death Star, and this was right up there with the best. And huge!

We picked up the new Technic Yacht earlier this week and I've got to say that it's a fantastic little set. Not too many moving parts for a technic set but it's pretty big once it's built and it looks lovely. For only £25, it's a definite recommendation.

Went to the lego store in Leicester Square to fill my pick-a-brick box today. Oh my god  It’s phenomenal. Had a super helpful guy give me advice on how to get the best yield from the box, then he went and got us two of the little lego store passports! Apparently each lego shop has it’s own unique stamp to put in it :slol: And it’s got stickers so you can customise the lego face on the front page to look like you. Amazing stuff.

Will post pictures later, I’m grabbing a pre-theatre mcdonalds at the moment

Imagine going to McDonalds. Imagine even more going to McDonalds like it's some sort of treat. Imagine.

It was more “quick” than “a treat”. We were already running late :shifty: (You’re meant to be there an hour before it starts to get your tickets and we got there with about 35 minutes to go)

Should have used the pink font.

What did you go and see?

I never know if I’m using it in the right context :(

We saw Hamilton! It’s amazing.

Some sources suggest it will be a little more than Porsche 911 GTS but, yeah, let’s wait to see the final price like you said.

The HQ is a pretty costly set (£285 from the Lego store at the moment). Is it with box and manual and everything?

Box, all pieces, manual. I’d get it fully made.

I'm considering selling some Lego kits and was wondering if anybody here had any experience or advice on such matters like best place to sell etc. I assume at the very least I should take them apart first right?

Last year I sold a lot of sets that I no longer wanted, they were mainly city sets and I sold them on eBay with no problems, I sent them out partly built so they would fit into the box ok

Destiny's Bounty is down to £74.99 at Amazon.

I cannot tell you how great a set it is, particularly for that money. If you're on the fence, let this be a shove !

My son got it for Xmas but hasn't started it yet. I'm tempted to nick it off him. I've wanted to build a pirate style ship ever since I had one as a kid. I loved it then my dad threw it away along with all my hornby railway stuff when I was older :x

We managed to get it I think for that price or maybe £79.99 from smyths when the film came out.
