I'm thinking Ill get the train and the station, (like Poser I think they go so well together even thought the station isn't really worth it on its own) then add the last couple of years worth of Advent Calendar stuff to see where I am. Can then look to add some MOC stuff from the giant bucket of Lego stuck in the attic.

I eventually want to make a bespoke Lego nativity as part of my diorama. That probably won't happen this year :D

Edit: having just given it a bit more thought, I might Westernise it by making it a British 'school' nativity. That way it will fit the snowy aesthetic a bit more, and I can justify having some slightly wackier stuff in there (like the one from Love Actually with the lobster, or whatever it was.)

Went to Legoland again yesterday. Couldn't help myself and picked up the BB8 set to build and put next to my R2D2.

My Lego station arrived this morning. It won't be getting opened for a little while yet, but it looks lovely - lots of little details. Probably very slightly expensive still, but I'm happy with it as a purchase. Plus, it'll look great with the train.

I'm going to wait until closer to Christmas before ordering the train station. They included a Santa snowglobe set for orders over €75 (maybe €100) in the run-up to Christmas last year and it was a lovely decoration. I'm hoping they do something similar this year.

I get a calendar every other year, and this is a 'get' year :toot:

Will go Star Wars too, I think.

Not sure yet, it's coming through Yodel so they probably won't update their tracking site until tomorrow morning. Hoping it gets here by Wednesday, but I'm on a course for most of the week so I won't get much time for building.

I don't think supply will be an issue long term. They'll be producing more as far as I'm aware, it's not a one off.

Hunting around in the loft yesterday and I found the box and instructions for Wall-E so decided to collapse it and rebuild it. Such a great set and I think it's really good value for money (particularly compared to something like Ecto 1 which I was quite disappointed with). I'm looking around now for something new to buy. On that basis, what's your favourite recent set?

I really liked the WALL-E set, although the head section could have used more work I think.

Try the Yellow Submarine. It's a similar difficulty and brick count. And it's also yellow.

Smyths is about to do an in-store offer of £10 off every £50 you spend. If you are after a big set, now would be a good time!

Get a Death star for £80 off (buy a water pistol with it or something) - £320 instead of £400
Or buy the Ghostbusters HQ for £235 instead of £285

:dread:

At least it'll come in as many pieces as possible so they can't break it any more.

It's apparently turned up at home while I've been out! Excited. Think I should probably figure out where to keep it before I actually get started on it, though...

Didn't realise this thread existed!

Me and my girlfriend went to Art of The Brick on London a few weeks ago. They had sculptures of tons of different DC heroes made from Lego. Anyone else go?

I took some pictures of anybody is curious as to what kind of stuff they had.
