I genuinely believe perfectly good playable toys should be illegal to go in black bags.

Last year I sold a lot of sets that I no longer wanted, they were mainly city sets and I sold them on eBay with no problems, I sent them out partly built so they would fit into the box ok

I’ve dabbled with too many themes over the last year or so and want to concentrate on just one or two now.

I think I’ll test the water and take a couple of my smaller Nexo Knights kits apart and see how I get on selling those before trying some of the bigger ones.

I had quite a few Nexo Knights sets, I focus on the architecture range and the larger creator sets now, I also like the collectible minifigures

Not got many sets currently, just Poe's X Wing from The Force Awakens. Next one I'll get will be the Kessel Run Millennium Falcon, presume that comes out May ish time.

Used to have loads of Lego when I was younger but sadly that's all been dismantled and mixed up, was a few Phantom Menace sets in there as well.

I love reclaiming sets from the big pile of bricks that a younger me threw into a big pot! It's amazing when I find a years-old set that I've still got the bits and instructions for. I know I lost a few key parts up the vacuum back in the day, but these days with Bricklink it's possible to find the parts to finish them off.

I wouldn't even know where to start looking to try and remake sets from the thousands of bits of Lego all around the place! Couldn't even place my hands on any instructions currently either! Any sets I buy now I'm trying to keep in one piece to stop this happening, boxes as well so I can dismantle them if needed. Hence the lack of sets these days.

You can find instructions online. I enjoyed recently rebuilding the space shuttle launch set, I only mostly got through the shuttle but put aside a lot of the red and grey parts too. It didn't really take that long. I just followed the instructions on an tablet.

I mostly collect City and Lego Batman Movie now but I bought a bunch of Nexo Knights stuff a year or so back, mostly the first wave vehicles for the good guys and also the Fortrex. It's the Fortrex I mainly want shot of to be fair but it's also the set I'm least looking forward to dismantling as it's pretty big.

Good point about the instructions being online, I'd just need to find a chunk of spare time now which never seems to materialise even when I have a day off work!

It's been years since i last dabbled with lego, because of the bricks i had at the time though, my old town (which covered half the room) always ended up looking like Swindon.

For the Chinese New Year Lego are doing a special year of the dog freebie, starting tomorrow:

Tempted to nab a few Lego Star Wars sets to get the Black card double VIP points bonus for February and get the dog as well.

Still really tempted by the Modular Diner but I'm not sure if I've got anywhere for it to go :( Might box up the SHIELD Helicarrier as that takes up SO MUCH SPACE.

The year of the dog model is cute - it's amazing what a difference the smaller slopes and curved tile pieces they've added over the years have made to the quality of designs that can be made, particularly for smaller models like this. Younger me would have killed to have some of the flexibility these pieces offer! :D

It's a great looking set  The lack of visible studs always makes stuff look a little fancier. Had mine turn up today, so I might get on it tonight.

In other news - Anyone ever tried selling "incomplete" lego sets before? I've been buying a couple of Star Wars sets solely for the minifigs (because they seem to be £8-10 on their own on ebay, which is insane). Is ebay the best bet for something like that or should I be using somewhere a little more specialised for sets that I've basically ripped the interesting bits out of? :shifty:

I would still say eBay is the best, like with complete sets I have also sold incomplete sets, just make sure you take plenty of photos and when I listed them I advertised them as if they were the set (with the number so they could be found in searches by collectors) and then I listed the parts that were missing, I had no problems and everyone was happy

I keep meaning to sell the minifigs from the yellow submarine set actually. I have them in the box as I only wanted the actual submarine and I noticed they were selling for about £8-£10 individually

Just got back from Solihull, and in the John Lewis there they had the SHIELD Helicarrier (admittedly in a rather battered box), and a UCS Falcon! I thought they'd been cleared out of everywhere.

The box looks a lot smaller on their shelves than it does in the middle of my floor :(

Saw this on Facebook earlier... https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/The-Hulkbuster-Ultron-Edition-76105

It looks pretty sweet but I really can't justify that kind of scratch on a toy.

I'm less interested in it because of the $119 = £119 exchange rate. What's up with that?

I feel dirty. Nipped into Toymaster earlier and they had the new Brickheadz - Go Brick Me set (£25.99), and the whole Infinity War collection (Thanos, Star-Lord, Gamora and Iron Man) despite them not officially launching until the 1st of April.

Picked up the Go Brick Me thing because you can make two figures and my girlfriend wants to have a go at making herself. She's already called the square pair of glasses, so I'm stuck with the Harry Potter ones, though :x
