I want it too but I'm not sure where I can put it in my room. :fp:

I'm tempting to buy one when it's available next month.

Has anyone else seen the carousel that is due around the same time as the Apollo 11? That looks really, really nice.

The Snowspeeder is a fantastic build so far! I like how the manual is more like the instructions for the Ideas/architecture sets now, where it tells you a little bit about the ship itself and the original designs (and interviews with the LEGO team behind it!) before actually getting into how it all goes together.

Was a little worried it'd suffer like the Tumbler with lots of little awkward panels as there's some strange angles, but so far it feels immensely sturdy (even only after the first two or three bags the assembly already has a bit of weight behind it). It's interesting how they've actually organised the build, too. You end up building the ship to a point, then making the stand and the minifigs before going back to the wings, etc (I think because after you stick the front on the ship it starts overbalancing on it's landing gear), but it's a little change that shows they've actually thought about it.

Finished

I love how you can open the airbrake flaps by turning the engine(?) on the rear of the wing. There's a couple of cool little touches with the moving parts (I didn't realise the gunners controls actually worked the gun!) I'm still awful at putting stickers on, though.

The Apollo 11 set is FINALLY available to order on the Lego website.
I find it amazing they had no pre-order facility available for it.

Yeah I ordered it yesterday at about 10pm so they sold out quick. Not surprising really, it is a beautiful thing.

Was putting off ordering one in case it turned up while I was away, but now it's on backorder I figure I may as well get in the queue. Just redeemed all my points and got it for £9.99 :slol:
