It's actually a pretty fun set. The amount of bricks you get for the money (708, I think?) is crazy. We've made two models and there's still bags full of other colours. There's a bunch of stickers in there too so you can customise your t-shirts and stuff, but I'm still trying to figure out which ones to use.

Almost tempted to pick another set up when it officially launches on the website :shifty:

Argos have a sale on some of the Lego City range at the moment. I picked up a couple of things this morning, 60181 (Forest Tractor) and 60158 (Jungle Cargo Helicopter).

I got this bad boy.

Back in stock at my local Lego store in Glasgow.

Can't wait to build it!

I'll probably pick up the Kessel Run version, just to complete the Millennium Falcon sets. :dread:

Also for anyone who got the Avengers Infinity War Thanos Ultimate Battle lego set and is desperate to finish the gauntlet gems just ask as I have two spare of each colour.

I've thought about getting the UCS Falcon before but always talked myself out of it! Hopefully getting the Kessel Run one will quench my thirst for a Lego Millenium Falcon for the time being.

Must resist........

Undoubtedly it's the better set (as it should be for around £650), one of my ways I talk myself out of it is having nowhere to actually display it, I'd guess it's quite a bit larger than a standard Falcon isn't it? Or am I just making excuses!

It's absolutely enormous.

But it's the best set I've built in years.

I still haven't managed to find anywhere to put mine yet, so it's just standing on top of the box in the middle of the floor :shifty: :fp:

That looks superb! But sadly I don't have the space to actually display that anywhere, if I did I wouldn't have an excuse. Is that the Force Awakens Falcon?

Yeah, the little Falcon is 75105, which was the Force Awakens one with old Han, Rey and Finn.

It wouldn't.

I haven't started building it as I don't have anywhere to put it. :slol:

The box itself is huge. Pro tip: Get transport if you are planning to buy it from a store. I nearly done in my back carrying the bastard thing.

I've been looking around for shelves or display but most of the well known ones like Ikea or Argos don't sell big enough shelves. Anyone know pls?

No idea on a display shelving unit big enough to actually display Lego sets on, I'm just using an old book case that I've got a couple of shelves free on (as I've recently bought a couple of new bookcases/shelving units from Ikea to move stuff between the two so I have a bit more usable space. I'm lucky in that the old bookcases shelves are quite deep, are the ones which have a couple of drawers underneath going to be any deeper? The one I'm using to display Lego has 3 drawers underneath which is probably why the shelves are that much deeper.

Anyway my thinking is that if I particularly enjoy building the Kessel Run Falcon I can then get a standard Falcon from TFA sets or I presume they'll release a TLJ one at some point as well (although that one won't have old Han) and (more importantly) I would have space to display both of them (just!), for the time being I'm just sticking to the Kessel Run one though!

Got my Kessel Run Falcon ordered before I left for work this morning. Looking forward to it arriving, I'll probably get it built next weekend.

I regret not getting the Tumbler from Dark Knight series at launch. Seems its retired at Lego.com and other sellers are selling it for £300 or more.

My Marvel lego sets is growing.

The Marvel Super Heroes Corvus Glaive Thresher Attack build is a bit naff but at least I got the Black Panther mini-figure. The Outrider Dropship Attack is an okay build, but it's a small set.

The Marvel Super Heroes Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown feels satisfying to build, and it's fun as well.

But my favourites are:

Thor's Weapon Quest set features one half of the Milano ship, and have teenage Groot and Rocket Racoon mini-figures (and the Thor mini-figure is not accurate.) Also finished the Thanos Ultimate Battle set, with the large part of Milano ship, and the previous set is all joined up with this so it's a complete ship. Easily the best build for a spaceship for a while.

The Hulk Buster Ultron Edition is a thing of beaut, but the shoulder pads look a bit off. And it sits on top of my display cabinet (probably get replaced by the UCS Falcon when it's finished.)

With that, I have the smaller Hulk Buster set on a delivery so Thanos' Power Gauntlet will be completed with all the gems. Phew.

Did you guys get the Kessel Run Falcon?

The gaps on the top part is kinda putting me off.

It's not turned up yet, even then I won't be building it till the weekend. Surely it's a very similar design to the TFA Falcon isn't it? Maybe the gaps just look slightly worse with it being white rather than grey?

Yeah it is worse off due to the white colour... at least the older falcons use the same colour of the beams to make it less obvious.

Oh well I’ll still buy it.
