Been playing this for a year now on and off, got to 38days on last run. Yes its survival but it's much better than your run of the mill fare. It's single player for a start which means everything has been balanced and tuned in preview/early access.

It's launching tomorrow with 2 episodes, literally have no idea how it'll tie in with the open world survival stuff.

Obligatory Xbox Footage from myself which is over a year old, it's updated pretty much everything but the base game is similar.

I reinstalled this the other day and was pleased to see the story option in the menu. Decided to just wait until then. They seem to have added some objectives to the survival mode too, which it sorely needed. I still think it's all partially ruined once you know the map, though. That sense of risk and discovery when you moved to new areas was so awesome, but you can never get that feeling back once you've played for a while.

How many episodes total are they releasing? I'm intrigued (in part because David Hayter to be honest) but I tend to wait for episodic games to finish before buying them.

They've added about 6 new areas in the past year id be surprised if you've visited them all.

As for Orange R, it has a survival sandbox mode so it's different than the tell tale games for example.

Metal Gear?!

Oh, no it's not that.

This has been on my radar for aaaages, glad to see it finally arriving on PS4. Will keep my eye on reviews and impressions from you lot and see if it's worth getting frozen to death over.
