Saturn's a bastard to emulate - something to do with the dual processor IIRC. I've never so much as held a Saturn pad so would love a collection of some kind. The Xbox1 didn't have the grunt for it but surely the 360 and PS3 can?

Anyway the Xbox emus run at 720p and the 16-bit era stuff still looks pretty poor, can't really see any point in this (for me - Sega obviously have their reasons).

It could be good, if they redrew all the 16bit graphics in high res, like that new Streetfighter HD game. Can't imagine it being particularly difficult either, and it'd mean that it wasn't just a mere cash in.

I believe some homebrew guys had the same idea. Perhaps Sega ought to hire them.

Just realised sonic 3 but no sonic 3 & knuckles

Not that it matters (well it does abit) but it would of been nice in HD.

I hope they will put fatal rewind, taz: escape from mars, alien 3, james pond 1,2 & 3, golden axe on there aswell.

I would really like jet set radio though

Never spotted that before
strawberry float the Saturn, man - any Mega Drive collection would be far better. Of course, the games I'd want would vary wildly from someone elses wishlist, and so on and so on.
They should just stick to doling them out over Live/VC/PSN.

Meh. In the past 2 weeks I re-bought a MD and also about 25 games. Nothing beats the originals and the 6-button SEGA pad.

If these are just straight up, up-scaled ROMs on a disc, I'll pass thanks. But Streets of Rage 3 with built-in online multiplayer might make me bite.

An awful lot of those are on the VC already.
Still, nice for non-Wii owners I guess.

They are very special to me.

A Saturn collection with the following would be so much better:

NiGHTS
Virtua Fighter 2
Fighter's Megamix
Daytona USA
SEGA Rally
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Shining The Holy Ark
Shining Force III
Clockwork Knight
Clockwork Knight 2
Virtua Cop
Virtua Cop 2
Die Hard Arcade
House Of The Dead

No Sonic CD... but a good list nonetheless. Why not every single Megadrive ROM on a DVD? Because they only have publishing rights to a small number, you silly people!

Not a bad list by any means, but I'm not paying for any more SEGA back catalogue stuff until they release Daytona USA (Dreamcast version) with 12 players or more online. Go on SEGA, it's virtually a crime not to! :D

Weird how it has Dynamite Headdy but not either of the other Treasure Mega Drive games. Shame really as more people need to play Alien Soldier!

This is pretty cool overall (And kudos for including the Shining Force games!) but I'm too used to playing retro titles via easy-access download titles, it's a pain going back to a disk. I can live with it though, as I did play through Ecco the Dolphin on the PS2 one.

Hey, at least they didn't include Ecco Jr this time :P Sega Soccer should be there though, you haven't played football until you've played it sans a referee!

EDIT: I just noticed the inclusion of Beyond Oasis! I played through that on VC (Known as The Story of Thor over here), wonderful little game. A bit short and the music is pretty wretched but otherwise a really nice Arabian-style adventure game.

Actually it's a huge and difficult process, Super Street Fighter II' HD Remix has been delayed so much because of how costly and time consuming it's been redrawing the sprites. There's no way they could do it for so many games for one release, especially a budget one.

Actually that's a point, I wonder what the emulation will be like. It definitely wasn't perfect on the PS2 collection, the rising audio buildup when Ristar swung on poles didn't happen at all for instance, neither did the speed up music when Sonic gets the sneaker power up.

Also Revenge of Shinobi is never on these compilations :( I guess that's the price to pay for including Marvel characters.

A good list, I'll probably buy it I really enjoyed the Mega Drive Collection on my PSP.
It would be cool though if they let you install the games onto the hard drive so you could boot from the Dashboard/XMB. Kind of wish they could've done that with the PSP version.
Now if only Sega would release Sonic Mega Collection on the PSP.

Depends on the price and the quality of the emulation for me. Looks like a decent games list though despite the omission of Sonic and Knuckles (although I've got Sonic Mega Collection on the Cube so I'm not fussed about that missing).

EDIT - Bloody hell. Missed Sonic and Knuckles the first time I read that list. All good Sonics present and correct then.

;)
