I was at martial arts class. :x

Also where about in this great nation are you?

I'm living in East Vancouver, it's pretty great to be honest.

Also i'm yet to see milk in a bag, in fact today I bought a carton of milk so to be honest i'm pretty dubious they exist. There was none in Real Canadian anyway.

I forget is East Vancouver the crappy part of town or is that West Vancouver?

How were you not able to find the bagged milk? It must be there? Maybe try shopping at a No Frills or a Metro or something instead.

East Hastings is the crappy part (although that's where i've gone out every time since it's cheaper  ), I live in more of a suburb, it's really nice.

I'll investigate the bagged milk further over the weekend.

I've been there. Well I was staying about an hour away (which is nothing in Canada) and went to Halifax for a day to play at the casino. :shifty:
Nova Scotia is a nice place though. What you'd expect of Canada with lots of lakes, everything is really spaced out, weather is nice in the summer and loads of snow in the winter. The people are very friendly. I was staying with my cousin at a house which my auntie had just bought and it was basically empty so we didn't have a TV, but somehow we end up borrowing a huge widescreen TV from a neighbour.

Best of all though is that the supermarkets sell baked beans that have maple syrup instead of tomato sauce.

Sadly I have never been there, although a number of my classmates (geographers) have done projects regarding Halifax. If you get a chance go on a whale watching tour. Although try to put it at the front of your schedule so that if you don't see any on your first trip (which is a possibility), you can go back another day.

Also make sure you go to a Tim Horoton's (coffee shop/ bakery chain) they are a national source of pride.

They offer cheap, good tasting food in an atmosphere that is always clean. I remember my boss once mentioned it was because they have many inspectors constantly stopping into stores to make sure they are up to code, but I have never seen one of these inspectors. :shifty:

Tim Horton's can't possibly be better than the Cold Stone Creamery chain. Their ice cream... mother of god!

I'm already addicted to Tim Horton's sweet latte, there's a small store at the metro stop I usually hop on at so i'm getting one pretty much every day. Cheaper than other places too that sell worse coffee.

I don't drink coffee, but I love their donuts and Tim bits. The sour cream glaze tim bit is the best thing ever.

Do they have sour cream donuts over there? Just to clarify if they don't this is a completely different sour cream to the one found in chips (crisps).

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
