I've been out today and got home a short while ago. All was quiet.

Minutes later, I heard him shouting ("singing") outside and, sure enough, he's come in and whacked on the music straight away. He's currently "singing" like a drunken moron.

Obviously the noise till 01:30 last night doesn't mean that he's gonna reign things back tonight. Strawberry-floatin' hell. Just gotta carry on logging the details.

One of the blokes in my street today grabbed a chair, plonked it on his front drive, and pretty much stayed there sat in it all day even though he has his own back garden.

He does this a lot.

This whole situation is ripe for Jawa having a Flanders-esque meltdown.

Gotta be nice, hostility-ility-biddly-diddly... Aw, HELL-DIDDLY-DING-DONG-CRAP! CAN'T YOU TURN THAT DAMN MUSIC DOWN?!!!!

Then he posts a thread on GRCade insulting everybody here.

It is getting me down a bit. I've reached a point where I think I'm gonna have to approach the council and lodge a formal complaint. Thing is, if I do that then it's on record and available for reference should I ever try and sell my place. I might instead go via my flat management company which I did once before. Ho-hum.

The dickhead next door has buggered off this evening, so i've spent the last few hours listening to his dog howling, this may last for a good few more hours yet.

It's relentless too, the bloody mutt goes 'bark bark hooooooooowl' over and over in a never ending cycle of irritation.

By the sounds of it, all of your neighbours need to be glitterbombed vermilion. They all sound like a nightmare.

My favourite neighbours are back! A pair of ducks who wander the neighbourhood have flown back for the summer.

While it wasn't a glitter bomb, one of my other neighbours recent found themselves receiving in the mail a nice catalogue addressed to Mrs Fatcow.

So baby must have woken up... I heard it crying and - within twenty seconds - neighbour bloke was blasting out music and "singing" (shouting / rapping). Weirdly, a couple of kids are running around, too - even though they're of school age.

Anyway, it sounds like a party has started now. Brilliant.

I know I mess about and make jokes about your situation, but it sounds absolutely horrible. And not just for you, imagine being one of those kids and having to listen to your parent constantly argue and them having parties at 2pm on a Wednesday. :dread:

I hope you get it sorted out, as much for those kids sake as your own.

It's amazing how just one family can hold such influence over an entire block. Even stupid things like when we're all meant to keep the common hallways clear of items (i.e. for health & safety, access and fire escape routes etc) they just pile up tons of stuff by the main entrance (pushchairs, carriers, skateboards and other junk); and stuff like dropping rubbish in the hallways.

I don't think they're horrible people - and it's very much the bloke rather than the rest of the family that causes the problems - but they're just, well, stupid and have no sense of social responsibility.

The music is banging now and he's "singing".

I don't want to cast aspersions here, Jawa, but why doesn't anyone in the block do anything about it?
