Are we actually saying we *don't* think it's inconsiderate that horseriders don't bother cleaning up or giving the horses nappies or something, then? It's a mess, and you'd think people would know better.

Also bit of a difference between horses (always out with a rider/chaperone) and cows (roaming freely in a field)

I am saying that the police don't care about clearing up the horse gooseberry fool and if they don't then nobody else is going to bother either. In urban areas it is not like you see it very often and in rural areas it is what you expect to see (just like cows in a field).

Imagine spending your time angry that a horse had a poo in the road.

Imagine thinking people mentioning that something is rude or inconsiderate are "angry" (we're all #triggered, clearly!) :slol: Are you feeling okay, Moggy?

Guess we can all just start littering since Moggy thinks it's perfectly acceptable that no-one cleans up after horses! As long as it's biodegradable who cares what's in our streets.

I haven't used the word triggered.

It's horse poo. Something you barely ever see outside of the countryside. It's a weird thing to be annoyed (is that better than angry?) by.

Dog and cat gooseberry fool I could understand. But horse gooseberry fool?

Dog gooseberry fool you can moan about because there is a person there who should clean it up but cats there ain't much you can do, horses alright its an inconvenience and if you are running a carriage service or something use one of those shut sack things but really it just doesn't matter and as moggy says in town you basically never see it.

Depends where you live, surely? You've said you live in the city. Drummy presumably doesn't. I live close enough to a field that I encounter horses (and their inconsiderate owners) reasonably frequently.

I live very close to some wonderful countryside which allows me to let my dog off the lead so that she can run free with other dogs.

I used to live in the countryside and now I live in the city.

Out in the countryside, horse manure is something you expect to see. The same as a cow pat in a field. And how is it inconsiderate? Whenever I have seen horse gooseberry fool out in rural areas, it is usually on the side of the road, not on the footpath or in the middle of the road where cars will churn it up.

In the city, it is not an issue as it is so rare to even see it.

Yeah so it stands to reason that someone who encounters horses and their massive poos more frequently would be more likely to get irritated by someone who lives in a city and never actually sees a horse.

I mean Drummy's first post mentioned the shite in the middle of running tracks. Different people have different experiences. Horses by me usually crap where people either have to swerve around it or drive through it. I don't get why you have to debate about something like this.

If the horse crap is left in a place that would inconvenience others (like the middle of a footpath or where cars would have to swerve) then I would agree with you.

Horse muck that is easily avoidable (which is 99% of the time) is just not a problem.

This lady explains why it is not safe or practical for horse riders to pick it up/use nappies: https://www.newspostleader.co.uk/news/y ... -1-1627773

Wish horses would defecate outside my house. I would be straight out with a shovel and bucket to get that on the flower beds!

You should consider yourself lucky!

I took my son to Weston-Super-Mare on the weekend but he didn’t want to go on a donkey. That’s the closest I’ve been to a member of the horse family over the last decade.

Neighbours have been blasting out the music today and I've just submitted my noise log records to the flat's management company requesting that a "noise disturbance" letter is issued to them.

I'm positive that, after receiving the letter, they'll see the error of their ways and modify the use of their music equipment :toot: .

They won't :( .
