The phrase "passive-aggressive" often triggers me... it seems to be increasingly used as a descriptive term when someone doesn't like the fact that they've acted in a lousy fashion and then been called out on it. "I don't like being admonished for my bad behaviour and so I am gonna make out that the person is being aggressive".

Of course, the person issuing the polite notes should instead have gone actual-aggressive and just set light to the offending vehicles.

Trigger you it might, but it doesn't escape the fact that behaviour like that, where the person who has been upset by what seems to me to be fairly innocuous behaviour can't muster the gumption to reveal their identity(I am assuming the notes weren't signed), is passive aggressive. I'd agree that it's used in a flippant manner by a lot of people, but I reckon leaving notes on people's cars is a particularly needless example, especially if there's a group social media page to discuss the matter.

If you don't have the stones to criticise someone to their face, I don't believe you have the right to criticise them at all. That kind of behaviour really grinds my gears, because I'll always hear out any reasonable points or arguments as to why my behaviour has been unacceptable, but I should be given the chance to explain or defend myself if required, not just have some wanker leaving a note under my car's windscreen wiper.

Seems to me that the biggest problem with this one is the designers of the estate not realising that families often have up to three or four cars, especially if they have adult children.

I feel that some people just do <inconsiderate action> knowingly and then get upset when called out on it. If they don't like the style of calling-out, don't do the action.

Parking issues are often tricky. At my flats we have a "visitors" parking area and, of course, some people just park their own cars there rather than using their own allocated space. I recall one resident complaining to me that people were doing this and so he couldn't park his own van there .

Neighbour-bloke presumably works on some sorta "outdoors" job as this morning the communal carpeted hallway stairs were - again - absolutely covered in mud, leading right up to his boots left outside his front door. Judging by the evidence, he must have literally stamped his feet coming up the stairs in order to shake off the mud.

Meanwhile, I bumped into another couple of residents who were cleaning out the communal bins area. It's amazing how neighbours can vary.

people doing nice things like that makes me feel inadequate - theyve got no consideration for other peoples feelings!

When i was walking to town today, i saw one house which on the first sunny day of spring, decided to have a bonfire. The smoke was drifting right across the road and as i headed past, i saw a bloke looking out of one of the windows and he didn't look at all happy.

I really can't complain about my current neighbours - even when I flooded their drive with gooseberry fool and toilet paper yesterday, they were really nice about it.

The neighbours we shared a party wall with in our old house, on the other hand... They were noisy, inconsiderate and utter banana splits.

Meanwhile, my neighbours have been shouting and swearing at each other for ninety minutes now; loud enough that I can hear it whilst sitting in my living room. Some of it is about "your kids" and, of course, they're doing all this with the kids and a young baby there. It's just horrible and sad.

Apparently one of my upstairs neighbors owes some woman money, because she was pounding and kicking at their front and back doors last night, shaking our whole apartment, while yelling loudly. I thought there was someone trying to break in to our place at first, so close did it sound. Can't wait for one of them to OD or something, so they can GTFO and leave us in peace.
